Position Summary:
As the Vendor Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our vendors and suppliers adhere to our company&rsquo;s standards and regulations. You will be responsible for managing vendor compliance programs, establishing guidelines, and monitoring vendor performance to uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
<ul><li>Develop and implement vendor compliance policies and procedures in collaboration with cross-functional teams including product development, planning, logistics, and quality assurance.</li><li>
Conduct regular audits and assessments of vendors to ensure compliance with contractual agreements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>
Develop chargeback programs in partnership with the Product Development team to hold our vendors accountable for their performance.</li><li>
Evaluate vendor performance metrics and develop improvement plans as necessary to address areas of non-compliance or inefficiency.</li><li>
Serve as the main point of contact for vendors regarding compliance-related inquiries, issues, and escalations.</li><li>
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to set standards, manage changing requirements, resolve vendor-related disputes and discrepancies promptly.</li><li>
Provide training and guidance to vendors on compliance requirements, quality standards, and best practices.</li><li>
Stay informed about industry regulations, market trends, and best practices related to vendor management and compliance.</li><li>
Partner with Fulfillment Operations to implement quality control audit programs to reduce damage rates and improve accuracy of outbound customer orders.</li><li>
Responsible for leading a team of quality assurance associates in Aurora and Fulton NY.</li><li>
Responsible for providing associate feedback through annual performance appraisals.</li><li>
Hold teams accountable for their performance against defined KPIs</li></ul>
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position oversees team members, providing guidance, monitoring work quality, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with leadership to enhance team success.
Education and Experience:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.</li><li>
Proven experience (5 years) in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management within the retail industry, preferably in home furnishings.</li></ul>
Special Requirements:
<ul><li>Occasional weekend work as required to meet business needs.</li></ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
<ul><li>Strong understanding of vendor compliance standards, quality assurance processes, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.</li><li>
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal teams and external vendors.</li><li>
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.</li><li>
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is advantageous</li><li>
Experience with product packaging standards for tabletop, home d&eacute;cor, furniture and lighting, including labeling, sustainability, and retail compliance requirements, is a plus.</li></ul>
Equipment Used: Computer, printer, scanner, telephone, and photocopier.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
<ul><li>Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, bend, climb, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Light mental and visual attention is required for performing work where there is some variety, but actions taken and decisions made are limited to few possibilities. Work requires some coordination with others.</li></ul>
Environmental Conditions:
There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
