Mac Papers and Packaging

<div>Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Read and understand work orders as well as verbal instruction for assignment</li><li>
Select merchandise for shipment and stack on load pallets using an order selector or forklift</li><li>
Move paper and other items from receiving or warehouse locations to shipping or other designated areas</li><li>
Stage pallets for loading at proper dock locations</li><li>
Loading and unloading pallets that contain full cartons as well as broken lots</li><li>
Stretch-wrap product for safe transportation</li><li>
Mark all packages with proper identifying information</li><li>
Meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy while working in a safe manner. This requires working at a constant pace for an entire shift in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Perform general cleaning/maintenance duties</li><li>
Daily inspections of warehouse equipment</li><li>
Follow Mac Papers preferred work methods at all times</li><li>
Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe working conditions</li></ul> 
Requirements Qualifications:<ul><li>
2 years warehouse experience</li><li>
Ability to read, write and interpret documents</li><li>
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals</li><li>
Ability to regularly use hands to handle and feel materials; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.</li><li>
Frequently required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl</li><li>
Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance</li><li>
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds</li><li>
Available to work Monday through Friday</li></ul> 
Physical Demands:<ul><li>
Regularly required to walk and stand continuously for long periods of time</li><li>
Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone</li><li>
Reach with hands and arms</li><li>
Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.</li><li>
ability to work with hand and power tools</li><li>
Lift up to 50 lbs.</li></ul>

Warehouse Days

<div>Material handlers select and retrieve raw material. Stack finished material on pallets and label packaging appropriately. Move finished goods pallets to the warehouse or specified location and apply pallet wrapping; completed as specified per job jacket or given instruction. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.) 
 
Essential Position Functions:<ul><li>
Verify, request, pull, receive raw materials as specified per job jacket.</li><li>
Prepare tape machine and labeling equipment as needed for each job.</li><li>
Lift, stack and arrange finished goods onto pallets as specified.</li><li>
Prepare finished pallet for wrapping (corner boards, pallet labels, top cap).</li><li>
Verify correct label and apply label on cartons, boxes, pallets as required per job ticket.</li><li>
Ensure the quality of the pallet stacking and label application per quality control procedures.</li><li>
Clean and maintain trays, rollers, bottles needed to apply labels.</li><li>
Fill out forms, tickets, tags to record / request goods.</li><li>
Tag pallets as required per the job jacket and quality procedures.</li><li>
Move finished pallets to the warehouse for wrapping.</li><li>
Manually seal cartons as needed.</li><li>
Operates manual and electric pallet jacks.</li><li>
Report all unsafe conditions and hazards to management.</li><li>
Follow all safe work practices and safety rules.</li><li>

Education and/or Experience:<ul><li>
High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>
Material Handling experience preferred.</li><li>
1 - 2 years of direct envelope experience is preferred.</li><li>
Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.</li><li>
Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler; basic computer skills required.</li><li>
Ability to read and understand job jackets.</li><li>
Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>
Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral communications skills.</li><li>
Must be able to work alone, and with a team.</li><li>
May be required to become certified in operation of forklift.</li><li>
Must be able to pass a drug screen, criminal background check and physical exam.</li></ul>

Ability to push/pull a pallet jack (manual and electric) with loads up to 1,500 lbs.</li></ul>
