Position Overview:
The CNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands-on nursing care to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The CNA is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL).</li><li>Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy.</li><li>Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities).</li><li>Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately.</li><li>Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition.</li><li>Responsible for the safekeeping of residents&rsquo; personal possessions.</li><li>Keep resident rooms neat and safe.</li><li>Follow proper infection control techniques</li><li>Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality.</li><li>Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills.</li><li>Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications.</li><li>Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs.</li><li>Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community.</li><li>Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly.</li><li>Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.</li></ul> 
Pay: $19-23/hr.

 The Nurse Scheduler generates, manages and updates master schedules while making adjustments as needed according to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, call-ins, and pre-planned leaves of absence.

 Serves as a liaison between the Director of Nursing Services, Executive Director and Human Resources when it has been identified there is a potential leave or assistance situation with a Care Team Member.
 </li>
 <li>
 Handles various inquiries from Care Team Members regarding scheduling and provides solutions where needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Validates PTO availability with Human Resources prior to approval.
 </li>
 <li>
 Keeping meticulous attendance records and assisting communicating if staff members accrue excessive absences and/or tardies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate with Unit Managers and the Director of Nursing Services regarding floor orientation schedules for newly hired Care Team Members in the nursing department.
 </li>
 <li>
 Checking time clock punch records daily against master schedules and noting the appropriate changes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Signing time correction forms for events such as missing meal periods or forgetting to clock in/out.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilizing computer software to prepare, change and update the master schedule.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to; weekend and holiday rotation and work the on-call schedule rotation.
 </li>
 <li>
 This position may require the occasional need to work the floor if a license is held for positions such as a QMA or CNA.

 Qualifications:

 Previous scheduling experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
