<ul><div><div><div>The Palliative Care RN provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with serious illness, focusing on symptom management, goals-of-care conversations, and psychosocial support. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to improve quality of life for patients and families across the continuum of care.</div>
</div></div></ul></div><div><div><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</b></div>
<ul><li><div>Professional &amp; Technical Skills</div>
<ul><div><div><div>Minimum of 3-5 years clinical nursing experience; palliative, oncology, or critical care preferred. Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing (CHPN) preferred or willingness to obtain.</div>
</div></div></ul></li><li><div>Education</div>
<ul><div><div>Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN or obtain within 6 years (current ASNs with MHP refer to SPP No. HR-18)</div>
</div></ul></li><li><div>License(s) or Certification(s)</div>
<ul><div><div>Must possess a current Indiana license as a Registered Nurse.</div>
</div></ul></li><li><div>Other Skills or Requirements</div>
<ul><div><div><div>Strong communication, empathy, and clinical judgment skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Familiarity with symptom management protocols and end-of-life care standards. Flexibility to respond to urgent consults across departments. Must have valid driver's license and active auto insurance.</div>
