Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and creative Associate Sportswear Designer to join our NYC design team. In this role, you will support the development of seasonal sportswear collections-from initial concept through prototyping and production. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Technical Design, Merchandising, Sourcing and Production teams to ensure commercial performance, on-time delivery and consistency with our brand's aesthetic and business objectives.What You'll Do<ul><li>Assist in creating seasonal concept decks, trend boards, color + fabric stories, and line direction</li><li>Translate design inspiration into CADs , line sheets, charts and detailed tech packs using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop</li><li>Source and evaluate sport-appropriate fabrics, trims and construction methods (more knit focused, some wovens)</li><li>Partner with Technical Design on fit sessions, specs, and construction reviews to ensure consistent quality and brand compliance</li><li>Collaborate with overseas factories, cost teams and production partners to validate feasibility timelines and margin targets</li><li>Maintain and manage physical and digital archives of styles, washes, fabrications, and seasonal references</li><li>Support the design calendar and ensure deliverables (protos, samples, market submissions) meet scheduled deadlines</li><li>Assist in presenting collection line-ups internally and externally, demonstrating design intent, business rationale and brand positioning</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design</li><li>3-5 years of professional apparel design experience (ideally in women's or contemporary sportswear)</li><li>Strong technical understanding of garment construction, fit fundamentals, fabrics and treatment processes</li><li>Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator &amp; Photoshop; solid skills in Microsoft Excel</li><li>Experience creating clear and detailed tech packs</li><li>Excellent organizational, multitasking and time-management skills, with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication; ability to articulate design intent and technical detail to cross-functional partners</li><li>Knowledge of Simparel or PLM systems a plus</li></ul>Why Join Us<ul><li>Work with a highly-collaborative and experienced design team in a dynamic, global company</li><li>Gain exposure to large-scale production, global sourcing operations and significant brand partnerships</li><li>Join a creative, fast-paced environment that emphasizes innovation, growth and delivering commercially successful product</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in New York, NY 10018
