Job Title: Service Technician &ndash; 4 Wheeler Automobile DealershipLocation: [Insert Location]Department: Service / WorkshopReports To: Workshop Supervisor / Service ManagerJob Type: Full-timeJob Summary:The Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of 4-wheeler vehicles as per manufacturer standards. This role ensures the highest level of vehicle performance, safety, and customer satisfaction by carrying out quality service operations in a timely and efficient manner.Key Responsibilities:Vehicle Servicing &amp; Repairs:<ul><li>Perform scheduled maintenance services (oil change, filters, brakes, fluids, etc.).</li><li>Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and test equipment.</li><li>Carry out repairs including engine work, transmission, suspension, electrical, and AC systems.</li><li>Conduct quality checks and test drives to verify issue resolution.</li><li>Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and dealership quality standards.</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Reporting:<ul><li>Accurately record labor hours and parts used on job cards or service reports.</li><li>Update service records in the dealership management system (DMS).</li><li>Report additional repair requirements to the supervisor or service advisor.</li><li>Comply with warranty procedures and documentation for eligible repairs.</li></ul>Tool &amp; Equipment Handling:<ul><li>Use diagnostic and workshop tools appropriately and safely.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of workshop equipment.</li><li>Ensure tools are returned and stored after each job.</li></ul>Safety &amp; Compliance:<ul><li>Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area.</li><li>Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.</li><li>Dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations.</li></ul>Teamwork &amp; Communication:<ul><li>Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors.</li><li>Provide technical input to improve service quality.</li><li>Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding job progress or issues.</li></ul>Qualifications and Skills:<ul><li>ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>1&ndash;3 years of experience in vehicle servicing or repairs (4-wheeler segment).</li><li>Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques.</li><li>Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.</li><li>Basic computer skills for data entry in DMS.</li><li>Physical stamina and manual dexterity.</li><li>Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li></ul>Key Competencies:<ul><li>Technical proficiency</li><li>Precision and accuracy</li><li>Time management</li><li>Responsibility and integrity</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;17,000.00 - &#8377;40,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
