We pride ourselves on keeping the flexibility of procedures and policy at the forefront so that customer needs are always satisfied.Function: You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of plumbing supplies and equipment to residential and commercial locations. Your role involves handling deliveries with care, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring that all materials arrive at their destination in pristine condition. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Safely operate a 26ft box truck to transport material from branches to various customer locations, including residential and commercial sites.</li><li>Properly load and unload materials onto and off the truck, ensuring secure placement and careful handling to prevent damage during transit.</li><li>Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel usage, considering factors such as traffic patterns, delivery schedules, and customer locations. Utilize GPS or navigation tools to navigate unfamiliar routes effectively.</li><li>Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatchers and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials, considering customer preferences and time constraints.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including friendly and professional interaction with customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the delivered products..</li><li>Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the box truck, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and overall vehicle condition, to ensure safe and reliable operation.</li><li>Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices and compliance with transportation standards.</li><li>Quickly and effectively resolve any delivery-related issues or challenges that may arise, such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or customer requests, while keeping communication lines open with dispatchers and supervisors.</li><li>Always prioritize safety by practicing defensive driving techniques, maintaining a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area, and following established safety protocols for loading, unloading, and securing materials.</li></ul>Position Requirements:<ul><li>High School Diploma</li><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li><li>Clean Motor Vehicle Record check</li><li>Pass a background check</li><li>Pass drug test</li><li>DOT Physical Card</li><li>Safety Vest</li><li>2-3 years experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the wholesale trade industry.</li><li>Knowledge of safe driving practices and transportation regulations.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.</li><li>Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan routes and manage time effectively.</li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the quality of delivered materials.</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $1,000.00 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Company truck</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Day Shift (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Dublin, GA 31040 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Dublin, GA 31040: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
