ABOUT THE JOB
The Physical Therapist is responsible for a combination of clinical and client facing worksite support. The Physical Therapist is responsible for assuring that all patients receive top notch musculoskeletal care. The Physical Therapist will carry out an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. In addition, the Physical Therapist will help support the client in the worksite providing body mechanics education, ergonomics and safety information, wellness initiatives, and other non-clinical worksite support. The Physical Therapist will maintain a positive working relationship and collaboration with other health professionals and ancillary staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul><li>Functions as part of care continuum and medical team, including but not limited to: physician, PA/NP, occupational therapist, health coach, medical assistant, etc.
</li><li>Administers appropriate physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, manual therapies, modalities, and patient education.
</li><li>Based on results of thorough assessment, plans, and executes a thorough goal-directed treatment program that meets the patient's goals and provides positive outcome measures.
</li><li>Assist with care coordination and ensure patient seeks appropriate level of care or specialty and follows up accordingly.
</li><li>May supervise and direct PTA&rsquo;s in accordance with professional guidelines.
</li><li>Teach in-home therapeutic exercises and stretches as part of treatment plan.
</li><li>Documents patient care services appropriately and promptly by charting in patient&rsquo;s electronic medical record.
</li><li>Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
</li><li>Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
</li><li>Maintains and develops professional knowledge and skills by reviewing professional publications and by attending continuing education.
</li><li>Develops physical therapy staff by providing evidence-based practice resources, developing and conducting in-service training programs.
</li><li>Injury prevention education and worksite assessments as needed and/or applicable.
</li><li>Address ergonomic needs of client worksite as applicable/needed.
</li><li>Effectively communicates with interdisciplinary team in the planning and implementation of the patient&rsquo;s plan of care.
</li><li>Attend all Marathon Health center training sessions (including EMR training).
</li><li>Identify community health needs and strategies to address them.
</li><li>To advise on Marathon Health policy within the continually changing environment of healthcare delivery.
</li><li>To schedule follow-up appointments, screenings, and tests for client company employees.
</li><li>Assist in outreach efforts with Marathon Health to target those employees at highest risk of developing chronic diseases.
</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS
BS, MS or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university (CAPTE). Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Minimum of 3 years&rsquo; experience working as a Physical Therapist. Current BLS certification. Understanding of clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic medical records software in accordance with state, federal, and APTA guidelines. Outpatient experience for adolescent and adult population. Ergonomic training, certification, or experience a plus.

Provide administrative support at Marathon Health centers. Responsible for front office including reception and general departmental support. Answer calls and greet visitors, assist with appointments and maintain calendars, create professional correspondence and documents, process mail and packages, maintain supplies, collect and reconcile payments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES

ABOUT THE JOB
Responsible for providing occupational health and acute care to employees for workplace injuries and illnesses at assigned Marathon Health Centers. May be responsible for the oversight for care delivered by the nurse(s), and/or medical assistants within affiliated Marathon Health Centers. Maintain a collaborative relationship with the client representatives, client&rsquo;s employees, vendors, and Marathon Health centers' staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul><li>Contribute to design and management of health center programs and policies.
</li><li>Administrate as a clinical team leader. Oversees other MH medical staff in clinic (i.e., MA, LPN, RN).
</li><li>Function to comply with state medical and nursing regulatory boards through signed protocols and procedures. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
</li><li>Provide medical primary care services to client&rsquo;s employees (and potentially eligible family members of those employees) at specific Marathon Health clinic locations.
</li><li>Review patient&rsquo;s medical history, record findings, and update patient records as appropriate.
</li><li>Review and audits clinical charts for quality assurance and regulatory compliances. Ensures confidentiality and handling procedures are followed for medical charts and files.
</li><li>Provides and manages direct patient care to employees at specific Marathon Health clinic locations, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
</li><li>Complete physical/history screening/wellness exams including greeting patients, inspect and record medical histories, gather medical information, listen to patient concerns, review symptoms, examining the patient, diagnose, record diagnosis results, and prescribe and administer treatments.

</li><li>Counsel patients and perform health coaching on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. Provide pamphlets, materials, and other helpful resources to give the highest level of patient care.
</li></ul><ul><li>Partner with physicians about patient care, discrepancies, or difficult to diagnose or treatment options as needed. Provide medical referrals as necessary such as specialists, acute care, or hospitalization. Determines if emergency services are needed and recommends transport to emergency room treatment facilities as necessary. Providing documentation for insurance companies.

<ul><li>Perform Occupational Health screenings/appointments and provide medical care for workplace injuries and illnesses.
</li><li>Interpret spirometry for acceptable trials and results.
</li><li>Provide initial Interpretation of resting EKG.
</li><li>Work injury evaluation and treatment including workplace exposures, musculoskeletal injuries, suturing, and removing foreign objects from the eye or body.
</li><li>Coordinate with employer regarding illness and injury policies and workers&rsquo; compensation insurance companies for the purposes of case management of work injuries.
</li></ul><ul><li>Appropriately identify needed work-related titers and vaccinations.
</li><li>Medical patient examinations result in drafting a form stating the person's fitness for duty and the ability or inability to occupy his/her assigned job. May conduct medical examinations and assessments of job applicants related to fit to work and ability to perform tasks of a particular job (i.e. DOT examinations for drivers) and that their health does not pose a risk to themselves or others.
</li><li>In line with the required respect for the patient's rights and documented authorization, the nurse practitioner may transmit the medical information useful to Worker&rsquo;s Compensation and disability claims, back-to-work medical consultations, etc., to consider fitness for work and the possibilities of return to work and/or adapting the workplace for resumption of work.
</li><li>Through health monitoring action and knowledge of jobs and positions with the client, the occupational nurse practitioner aims to understand how the work environment can affect health and contribute to the improvement of well-being at work.
</li><li>Collaborate with client managers to develop or enhance work tasks to understand workplace hazards, how the body will be affected, protective equipment measures, prevention factors and treatment plans for illness/injuries. May provide guidance to employers regarding local and national health and safety regulations. May partner with client managers in developing and implementing workplace health and safety policies and procedures and identify and mitigate potential health and safety hazards in the workplace. May conduct workplace assessments to identify potential hazards that may cause injury or illness to workers.
</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS
Master&rsquo;s degree in nursing or related degree required. Nurse Practitioner Medical Certification and License in the state of assigned work required. Board certified in Specified Area of Medical Specialty. Federal DEA Certification, ALS/First Aid/CPR Certifications required. Certification for independent prescriptive authority to prescribe medications and controlled substances, under the licensure authority of the state board of nursing for the state of work. 2+ years of experience in internal medicine or family/general practice required. 2+ years of experience in occupational medicine preferred.
Full Practice Authority is strongly preferred where applicable per State guidelines.
