We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Tree and Shrub Retail Sales Specialist to join our team.

Summary:

The ideal candidate has a passion for plants and landscaping, with excellent communication and customer service skills. As a Tree and Shrub Retail Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right trees and shrubs for their needs, providing expert advice on care and maintenance, and closing sales transactions. A general knowledge of trees and shrubs and their proper care, health, and planting zone is required. Knowledge of proper soils and fertilizers and how to recommend them to clients is also required. We are looking for an individual to sell trees and shrubs, and assist with annual &amp; perennial sales. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Expertise and passion in generating sales are important.

Salary Range: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Engage &amp; get to know customers</li></ul>
<ul><li>Knowledge of Trees, Shrubs, Annuals, and Perennials. Including tree and shrub plant care knowledge and Soil condition/Zone knowledge.</li><li>Responsible for demonstrating the ability to cross-sell and achieve the highest appropriate units per transaction</li><li>Accountable for facilitating the ease of the sale and transition to/from salesperson, always providing support to other team members</li></ul>
<ul><li>Responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service for all customers entering Marders property</li><li>Stay informed about current promotions, product details, and store policies</li><li>Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth retail experience</li></ul>

Requirements:
<ul><li>Must be available to work weekends and some holidays</li><li>Full-time availability required (approximately 40 hours/week)</li><li>4 Year Horticulture degree or relevant industry experience</li><li>Friendly, professional attitude with strong communication skills</li><li>Basic computer skills required</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting, up to 20 lbs.</li></ul>
