If you have a passion for locally grown and produced food, we are a tech-enabled local shopping and delivery service that you will love being a part of.Our hub serves all of western and southwestern Pennsylvania and even parts of West Virginia and Ohio. We provide a direct channel for local farmers and food artisans to market and distribute their products online to residents in their area. Once a week, on Market Day, the local groceries move into and out of our building. We deliver the orders directly to consumers&rsquo; homes.Summary of the Position:Market Wagon is looking for a Hub Coordinator with demonstrated leadership experience, an ability to connect with people, proven talent to juggle multiple tasks, and a passion for locally grown food.Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Hire &amp; supervise delivery drivers and other helpers at the hub</li><li>Prepare for and the weekly order-filling cycle</li><li>Coordinate and manage activities on Market Day (Tuesday)</li><li>Resolve any problems that may arise</li><li>Interact positively with local farmers and artisans when they visit the hub each week</li></ul>Qualifications/Skills:<ul><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Solid work experience, ideally management experience in a restaurant or other fast-paced environment or experience in a farming or food distribution business</li><li>Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills</li><li>Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize in real time</li><li>Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects</li><li>Working style that is self-motivated and detail-minded</li><li>Proactive approach in resolving problems and issues</li></ul>This is a part-time position starting at 10-15 hours a week.
