As the Maintenance Mechanic, you will be helping with the day-to-day operation of the machinery repairs and preventive maintenance. Duties also include the monitoring of our water systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS<ul><li>Maintain and repair equipment.</li><li>Complete preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.</li><li>Make repairs to various types of piping systems including black iron, stainless steel, brass, and</li></ul>
plastic.<ul><li>Respond to building and equipment emergencies/outages and perform quality checks.</li><li>Document and maintain maintenance records. By properly documenting the issues in the</li></ul>
maintenance system.<ul><li>Take an active role in all lean initiatives as it relates to maintenance.</li><li>Keep tools and equipment in good condition.</li><li>Know the occupational hazards and safety precautions.</li></ul>
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>5-10 years hands-on mechanical experience</li><li>High School Education</li><li>Commitment to personal safety and the safety of others</li><li>Ability to read mechanical blueprints identify parts and research part numbers.</li><li>Basic knowledge of large HP mechanical drive systems including gear box reducers, belt and</li></ul>
pulley, and chain and sprocket.<ul><li>Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Knowledge of basic mechanical power transmission components i.e. belts, chains, sprockets,</li></ul>
bearings, and shaft couplings.<ul><li>Knowledge of pumps, valves and piping.</li><li>Ability to run a Bridgeport, lathe and basic welding skills.</li><li>Ability to work with the other employees in the maintenance dept as well as machine operators</li></ul>
to implement projects and process improvements.<ul><li>The ability to work independently and make decisions.</li></ul>

POSITION SUMMARY 
 
Maintenance Electrician individual in this position is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and upgrading a variety of production equipment, ranging from basic manufacturing tools to complex wire and cable machinery.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS<ul><li>
Work safely in all aspects of the job as a Maintenance Electrician .</li><li>
Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas of responsibility.</li><li>
Perform electrical repairs on production equipment.</li><li>
Troubleshoot basic PLC and control equipment.</li><li>
Participate in preventative maintenance (PM) activities from Maintenance Electrician perspective.</li><li>
Conduct routine maintenance on production machinery.</li><li>
Demonstrate mechanical ability to service production equipment.</li><li>
Possess basic knowledge of large horsepower AC/DC drive systems and associated software.</li><li>
Maintain logs, complete ISO documentation, order and track materials.</li><li>
Wire machinery and electrical panels according to electrical prints and diagrams as a Maintenance Electrician.</li><li>
Collaborate effectively with other Maintenance Electrician personnel, machine operators, and management on projects and process improvements.</li></ul>
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS &amp; KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
5&ndash;10 years of hands-on electrical experience with large industrial equipment.</li><li>
Knowledge of industrial safety and electrical codes and regulations as a Maintenance Electrician</li><li>
Strong problem-solving skills with complex mechanical and electrical systems.</li><li>
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet strict deadlines.</li><li>
Proficiency in running conduit and wiring in an industrial environment.</li><li>
Basic knowledge of PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley.</li><li>
Computer literacy, including experience with Maintenance Work Order Management Systems.</li><li>
Familiarity with industrial control components such as:<ul><li>
Proximity sensors</li><li>
Pressure transducers</li><li>
Encoders</li><li>
Safety control systems</li></ul></li><li>
Understanding and ability to measure/troubleshoot analog and digital signals.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret ladder logic diagrams and electrical schematics.</li><li>
Skilled in the use of tools and electrical test equipment, including:<ul><li>
Digital multimeter</li><li>
Megger</li><li>
Oscilloscope</li></ul></li><li>
Strong mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of:<ul><li>
Mechanical power transmission</li><li>
Bearings, belts, and guarding systems</li></ul></li></ul>
