POSITION SUMMARY</b></p><p>
Operates the line and consistently meets Hendrix&rsquo;s quality and productivity requirements in a safe manner with minimum scrap.</p><p></p><p><b>
RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><ul><li>
Always complies with company safety rules during working hours and ensures the safety of himself/herself and others at his/her operating station.</li><li>
Responsible in keeping equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.</li><li>
Works in a professional manner, punctual and highly dependable.</li><li>
Mechanically sets up the line including installation of appropriate tooling and all auxiliary line equipment needed to produce varying cable designs described in the process instructions.</li><li>
Consistently monitors the supply of raw material to ensure continuous operation.</li><li>
Performs required measurements with company approved measuring devices to ensure</li><li>
Verifies the measuring devices are calibrated.</li><li>
Visually inspect for damaged wires.</li><li>
Performs cold welds of bare neutral wires to maintain spool operation.</li><li>
Maintain accurate record keeping of all pertinent information required by Hendrix, including work center records.</li><li>
Takes corrective action to ensure quality product.</li><li>
Participates in scheduled team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement.</li><li>
Participates in maintaining ISO certification.</li><li>
Adheres to applicable System Level Procedures (SLPs) and Process Controls</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><ul><li>
Understanding of the basic neutral line operation including the line components associated with the processes.</li><li>
Tools and measuring devices applicable to the industry.</li><li>
High school degree or GED required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS</b></p><ul><li>
Position requires individuals with proven mechanical aptitude.</li><li>
Read micrometers and other related precision tools.</li><li>
Perform shop arithmetic.</li><li>
Read and follow written instructions.</li><li>
Communicate effectively to receive and pass on information and instructions.</li><li>
Troubleshoot basic line problems.</li><li>
Continuously pay attention to detail.</li><li>
Fulfill simple computer tasks.</li><li>
Work within a Team structure.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS</b></p><ul><li>
Position required individuals to have the ability to:</li><li>
Lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to chest.</li><li>
Maneuver roll (exert up to one hundred (100) pounds of force), spin and align reels up to a 90&rdquo; safely.</li><li>
(Johnson bar can be used to maneuver.)</li><li>
Exert thirty to fifty pounds of force with cable cutters.</li><li>
Visually inspect quality of product.</li><li>
Use handheld tools and measuring devices.</li></ul><p></p><p>
