Marsh is seeking candidates for a Client Advisor in our Marine in our Houston office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
In this client-facing role, you will develop an understanding of clients' business strategic priorities, risk strategies, and risk management needs to provide knowledge and advice to complex clients. You will help identify the need for new products and develop innovative solutions while building and maintaining relationships with clients.
We will count on you to:
<ul><li>Assess the needs of clients and develop solutions to risk situations across a complexity spectrum. Meet with clients directly during meetings and proposals and prepare client marketing messages.
</li><li>Submit coverage specifications, obtain quotes from carriers, bind coverage, and ensure the accuracy of programs.
</li><li>Develop strong working relationships with carriers and underwriters, possessing strong knowledge of the insurance and risk marketplace.
</li><li>Contribute to the firm's body of knowledge on product lines by participating in internal networks and supporting client retention and new business production.
</li></ul>What you need to have:
<ul><li>5+ years of industry experience, with a focus on Marine (Hull, Liabilities, P&amp;I and Builders Risk)
</li><li>P&amp;C license or the ability to obtain one.
</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.

<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">LOCATION: ANCHORAGE, ALASKA (ONSITE POSITION)</h2>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">STATUS: NON-EXEMPT</h2>
SUMMARY:
As a Client Administrator I on the Spindler-Barios team, the primary focus is to provide technical support to Client Executives and to clients in maintaining insurance policies in accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined by the Business Insurance manual and by the Director of Client Services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul><li>Process paperwork for new and renewal business to include:</li>
<li>Prep Acord forms and other documents required for a submission.</li>
<li>Maintain client level details in agency management system.</li>
<li>Binders</li>
<li>Management and production of renewal certificates</li>
<li>Policies</li>
<li>Invoices</li>
<li>Finance agreements</li>
<li>Endorsements</li>
<li>Audits</li>
<li>Perform account reconciliation.</li>
</ul>With more experience:
<ul><li>Assist in the processing of final audits.</li>
<li>Become proficient in the use of technology systems, software, and tools such as ImageRight and Sagitta</li>
<li>Establish and maintain positive and effective working relations with other associates and clients.</li>
</ul>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
<ul><li>A high school diploma and 1-2 years insurance related experience or professional office experience.</li>
<li>Obtain and maintain a valid Alaska Business Insurance License.</li>
<li>Obtain a Surplus Lines License in the first 2 years.</li>
<li>Achieve an AINS or INS Designation as well as have willingness to pursue continuing education in the form of insurance designations and professional development training.</li>
<li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook)</li>
<li>Must maintain a high attention to detail when working at a varying pace and managing multiple tasks with adjusting priorities.</li>
<li>Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff.</li>
<li>Strong customer service orientation (internal customer focus).</li>
