ESSENTIAL DUTIES in Maintenance Department (Custodian Associates) (responsibilities include, but are not limited to)</b></div><br>
<div></div>
<ul><li>
Maintains cleanliness of work area, storage area, and selling floor</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensures a safe and secure work environment</li><li>
Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedure</li><li>
Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers</li><li>
Replace burnt out light bulbs</li><li>
Refill restroom dispensers</li><li>
Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.</li><li>
Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum carpets</li><li>
Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.</li><li>
Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments</li></ul>
<ul><li> Must clean and sanitize work areas</li></ul><p><b>
QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p>
<ul><li> High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred</li></ul>
<ul><li> Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, use ladders, scaffolds or their substitutes, substitutes above 6 feet in height, and to operate or assist in operating power-driven machinery or equipment.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Must be able to use job related equipment such as a stepping ladder, mop, and push carts</li></ul>
<ul><li> No experience required, but a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar work environment is preferred</li></ul>
<ul><li> Previous experience as a Housekeeper, Janitor, or Custodian is preferred
</li></ul><ul><li> Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds without aid</li></ul><br>

REQUIREMENTS</b></p>
<ul><li>
Able to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service</li><li>
Able to read, write, and do simple math problems</li><li>
Able to interpret, understand and follow instructions
</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions from the general public and management</li><li>
Ability to interact with all levels of management</li><li>
Must be able to operate pallet jack, scissor lift, baler, compactor and scrub machine</li><li>
Possess a food handling license or the ability to acquire one</li></ul>
