(Textile / Plastics / Polymers) Location: Malanpur, Gwalior (MP) Reporting To: Procurement Manager / Supply Chain HeadTo manage procurement activities efficiently across key commodities (textiles, yarns, chemicals, resins, PVC, etc.), drive vendor development, ensure timely material availability, cost optimization, and align with production and inventory goals.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Demand &amp; Forecast Planning:</li><li>Understand monthly production demand and sales forecast.</li><li>Plan material requirements based on forecast and business strategy.</li><li>Procurement &amp; Vendor Negotiation:</li><li>Source and procure materials from existing and new suppliers.</li><li>Negotiate all commercial terms (pricing, credit terms, delivery timelines, etc.).</li><li>Release purchase orders (POs) in line with procurement policies.</li><li>Vendor Development &amp; Management:</li><li>Develop new vendors to ensure alternate sourcing for critical materials.</li><li>Drive vendors for adherence to quality, delivery, and quantity commitments.</li><li>Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations.</li><li>Delivery &amp; Logistics Coordination:</li><li>Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and avoid production delays.</li><li>Coordinate logistics where freight is in buyer&rsquo;s scope, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.</li><li>Inventory &amp; Cost Management:</li><li>Monitor stock levels and strive to achieve inventory targets.</li><li>Implement cost reduction strategies and maintain procurement within budgets.</li><li>Quality &amp; Compliance:</li><li>Ensure procured materials meet internal quality standards and specifications.</li><li>Address non-conformance issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders.</li><li>Internal &amp; External Coordination:</li><li>Liaise with planning, production, quality, stores, and finance teams.</li><li>Maintain strong communication with external vendors and service providers.</li></ul>Key Skills &amp; Competencies:<ul><li>Strong Negotiation Skills: Capable of driving competitive deals with vendors.</li><li>Proactive &amp; Energetic: Result-oriented with a hands-on approach.</li><li>Vendor Management: Experience in developing and handling multiple suppliers.</li><li>Material Planning: Ability to forecast and plan material requirements effectively.</li><li>Cost Optimization: Track record of achieving cost reduction targets.</li><li>Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication for effective stakeholder management.</li><li>MS Office Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.</li><li>Analytical Thinking: Smart decision-maker who can act swiftly and efficiently.</li><li>Mobility &amp; Agility: Willingness to travel and coordinate at supplier locations when required.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;500,000.00 - &#8377;700,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
