Responsibilities:

As an <b>Outside Plant Engineer</b>, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you&rsquo;re up for the challenge.</div><div></div><div><br>

Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans</li><li>
Drive your projects through all phases of construction, including scheduling, budgets, and resource management</li><li>
Complete job site walkouts and facilitate project meetings</li><li>
Meet deadlines as set by the customer while maintaining a high level of quality</li></ul>

Outside Plant Engineer

Responsibilities:
<div>
The <b>Traffic Control Technician</b> will help control the movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects by performing the following duties listed below.</div><div></div><div><br>
In addition, you will:</div><ul><li>
Maintain a consistent and unrelenting focus on safety throughout all job functions</li><li>
Distribute traffic control signs and markers along the site in a designated pattern</li><li>
Manage day-to-day work zone set up, maintenance, tear down, meeting or exceeding customer, state, and company expectations</li><li>
Lift, carry, and place up to 50 lbs. of traffic cones to ensure the safety of the work zone</li><li>
Lift, carry, place, and assemble traffic control signs in the proper order to manage work zone traffic</li><li>
Keep equipment in trucks well-organized and in working order</li><li>
Develop superior knowledge of work zone setup, design, professional flagging responsibilities, and be willing to share your knowledge with teammates</li><li>
Direct movement of traffic through the site, using signs, hand, and flag signals</li><li>
Warn laborers and drivers when approaching a vehicle that fails to heed signals to prevent accidents and injuries to workers</li><li>
Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites</li><li>
Record the license numbers of traffic control violators for the police</li><li>
Give a hand marker to the last driver in line-up of one-way traffic for the flagger at the opposite end of the site, signaling clearance for reverse flow of traffic</li><li>
Write and review maintenance and incident reports for on-site issues or concerns</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<div>
About You:</div><ul><li>
Valid driver's license with a good driving record</li><li>
1 year of experience</li><li>
Knowledge and skillful implementation of federal and state regulations for work zone safety and traffic control</li><li>
Knowledge of the manual on Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) guidelines and the translation of this to control traffic by using proper devices and techniques</li><li>
Knowledge of safety rules for construction sites and the ability to abide by them</li><li>
500 hours of experience in traffic control flagging</li><li>
Basic understanding of construction job sites</li><li>
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if needed</li></ul><div>
Compensation of $22-$25 per hour, depending on the experience.</div><div></div><div><br>

Overtime pay will be provided in accordance with California labor laws, at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a workweek</li><li>
