</div>Responsibilities:
<div>
The <b>Fleet</b> <b>Mechanic</b> is responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and vehicles. This position supports the Construction team and works with personnel within the department.</div><div></div><div><br>
Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components</li><li>
Utilize all technical support resources (e.g., operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, etc.) in troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying parts needed for repair
</li><li>Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
</li><li>Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner
</li><li>Perform all tasks in a manner fully consistent with MasTec Safety practices and procedures
</li><li>Provide accurate and sufficient information on all required documents</li><li>
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<div>
About You:</div><ul><li>
High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED</li><li>
Must have and maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills</li><li>
Basics of mathematics and electronics</li><li>
Telematics and Camera install capabilities</li><li>
Excellent record keeping skills</li><li>
Work and travel in inclement weather when necessary while working from a field service vehicle</li><li>
Exposure to moderate noise levels</li><li>
Physical effort to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling</li><li>
Must be willing to travel</li><li>
A high level of dexterity</li><li>
Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft office</li><li>
Advocate safety in everything we do</li><li>
Mechanical repair experience: 3 year (Minimum Required)</li><li>
Ability to read and understand schematics; electrical and hydraulic</li><li>
Solid understanding of hydraulic systems</li><li>
Experience with aerial equipment, directional drills, excavators, backhoes, etc</li><li>
Utilize excellent verbal, written, and inter-personal communication skills</li><li>
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail</li><li>
Pass pre-employment background and drug screening check</li><li>
Deliver results and strive for continuous improvement</li><li>
Be highly motivated and able to work independently</li><li>
Establish and maintain good rapport with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, customers, and others</li><li>
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information and perform all tasks with integrity</li><li>
Maintain a current DOT Medical Certification</li></ul><p>
