Job Summary
</b></div><div>The Electrical Utility Distribution Operations Manager provides administrative and technical management for projects and direction of field operations through subordinate managers. This position manages field operations and works with customers, senior leaders, as well as personnel from various other departments.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
*** To be considered for this role you MUST have Electrical Utility Distribution experience with Supervisory experience in the same industry.</b></div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Oversee total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.</li><li>
Interface with field managers, clients, subcontractors, and owners to assure customer satisfaction.</li><li>
Plan, coordinate, and/or supervise activities of all operations' employees on assigned projects.</li><li>
Confer with project personnel to update project schedules on a weekly basis.</li><li>
Keep direct contact with projects in progress by visiting project sites.</li><li>
Assist in disputes on all projects, negotiating as required to reach a resolution of construction problems.</li><li>
Oversee all bid projects, including P&amp;L responsibility and management of fleet assets dedicated to bid projects.</li><li>
Work with Office Manager to ensure compliance with all internal reporting deadlines.</li><li>
Prepare weekly revenue and cost reports.</li><li>
Prepare and submit invoicing on a weekly basis. Work to resolve all accounts receivable invoices over 51 days.</li><li>
Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and interpret policies as required.</li><li>
Cultivate and continuously seek to enhance an in-depth understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.</li><li>
Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs. Liaise with estimating to ensure projects comply with cost, revenue, and schedule.</li><li>
Examine estimates of material, equipment, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.</li><li>
Prepare status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.</li><li>
Prepare project reports for management, client, or others, including dollar estimates to complete and variance analysis for significant items.</li><li>
Analyze projects for adherence to budget and percentage of profitability.</li><li>
Directly supervise 3 to 10 supervisors.</li><li>
Carry out supervisory responsibilities such as training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints or resolving problems according to company policies.</li><li>
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or related field.</li><li><b>
MUST</b> have 5 years of experience Electrical Utility Distribution industry experience i.e. Overhead and Underground Distribution.</li><li>
Previous Electrical Utility Distribution supervisory experience.</li></ul><div><b>
Preferred
</b></div><ul><li>8 or more years of related experience, with significant supervisory experience.</li><li>
OSHA 10 Certification.</li></ul><div><b>

Operations Manager - Electrical Utility Distribution

Responsibilities:
<p>
MasTec Communications Group is seeking a full-time OSP Designer in support of a large-scale telecommunications project for both OSP Fiber and Copper Networks.</p><p></p><p><br>
The position requires experience with outside plant in aerial, buried, and/or underground facilities, with a thorough knowledge of all issues related to federal, state, or local government permitting, as well as pole and conduit licensing procedures with utility permitting agencies. The OSP Engineer must work cohesively with the Engineering PM.</p><p></p><p><br>
In addition, you will:</p><div><div><div><ul><li>
Conduct field site surveys to collect accurate data on existing telecom infrastructure, equipment, pathways, and environmental conditions</li><li>
Capture detailed measurements of poles, handholes, conduits, fiber routes, equipment locations, and building entry points.</li><li>
Document site characteristics (photos, GPS coordinates, notes) using company-approved data collection tools or mobile applications</li><li>
Perform visual inspections of aerial and underground routes to identify clearances, obstructions, right‑of‑way constraints, and potential construction challenges.</li><li>
Communicate discrepancies, missing information, or site issues to design engineers and project managers.</li><li>
Observe and comply with all safety protocols, including traffic safety, PPE requirements, and utility‑specific guidelines.</li><li>
Operate field tools and devices, such as laser range finders, height sticks, tablets, GPS units, measuring wheels, and cameras.</li><li>
Upload and organize collected data into project folders or internal systems for engineering use.</li><li>
Travel to multiple field locations within a defined region to support ongoing project needs.</li><li>
Prepare detailed CAD drawings and design packages for fiber optic, wireless, and broadband network projects.</li><li>
Convert field data, survey notes, and redlines into accurate construction drawings and as‑built documentation</li><li>
Develop permit drawings for municipalities, DOT, railroads, utilities, and other governing bodies</li><li>
Maintain drawing consistency by adhering to company and client CAD standards, templates, and layer conventions.</li><li>
Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.</li><li>
Organize project drawing files, ensuring proper version control, naming conventions, and documentation structure.</li><li>
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to clarify design data and resolve drafting issues.</li><li>

Willingness to learn client‑specific CAD standards, templates, and telecom design workflows</li><li>

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field is preferred, OR Telecomm, Engineering, or Drafting completed courses and diploma from a technical school or community college or related experience</li><li>
