We have several openings for Biological Monitors to ensure environmental compliance for a high-profile construction project involving high-voltage transmission lines, substations, and telecommunications infrastructure in Nevada. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging environmental professional to work on a team of specialists and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transmission line industry and a strong foundation in environmental compliance practices.</div><div></div><div><br>
Travel between Las Vegas and Reno is required.</div>
Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Ensure project adherence to all environmental regulations and standards, specifically focusing on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) requirements.</li><li>
Conduct pre-construction clearance surveys to identify and mitigate potential environmental impacts.</li><li>
Perform Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections, ensuring all protocols are followed to prevent sediment/erosion pollution.</li><li>
Monitor the project area for species of concern, ensuring the protection of wildlife and natural habitats during construction activities.</li><li>
Assist in conducting environmental impact assessments and risk evaluations.</li><li>
Perform regular field inspections to ensure compliance with environmental best management practices and project specifications.</li><li>
Prepare and maintain accurate daily and weekly reports as specified in the project documents, documenting all environmental compliance activities, inspections, and monitoring efforts.</li><li>
Participate in daily and weekly pre-construction look-ahead meetings to proactively address environmental considerations and ensure compliance.</li><li>
Participate in weekly progress meetings, providing updates on environmental compliance and addressing any concerns.</li><li>
Assist in developing and delivering environmental training programs for construction teams, promoting awareness and adherence to environmental regulations.</li><li>
Collaborate with local, state, and federal land management agencies, addressing environmental concerns and ensuring transparent communication.</li><li>
Maintain good communication with the Owner's Construction Inspection team, the Company's Environmental Management team, and construction crews to ensure smooth project execution.</li><li>
Assist in developing and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize environmental impacts and support project sustainability.</li><li>
Respond to environmental incidents, taking appropriate actions to mitigate impacts and report to relevant authorities.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, Ecology, or a related field.</li><li>
Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental compliance, preferably in the transmission line or energy infrastructure industry.</li><li>
Experience conducting pre-construction surveys, SWPPP inspections, and biological monitoring.</li><li>
Familiarity with local, state, and federal land management agencies.</li><li>
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISEC, CESSWI, or CPESC) are a plus but not required.</li></ul><div><b>

University of Reno - Biological Monitor

Henkels &amp; McCoy, Inc. (H&amp;M&rsquo;s) Chantilly office specializes in low voltage cabling to support enterprise, data centers, government, and medical facilities. We design and install multiple technologies and work throughout the Baltimore &amp; Washington DC Metro areas. H&amp;M is seeking several energetic, career minded individuals to join our team working out of our Chantilly, Virginia office.</div><div></div><div><br>
While working under the direction of a team lead or Foreman, the ideal candidate for the Installer position will possess 1-3 years&rsquo; experience in structured cabling and promote a safe working environment.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Primarily responsible for assisting in multiple aspects of cable installation including pathways, rough-in, closet build-out, cable terminations, labeling, grounding, trouble-shooting and testing.
</li><li>Ability to complete tasks with a high degree of quality and efficiency.</li><li>
Embrace H&amp;M&rsquo;s safety culture by following safe work practices and policies.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications and cut sheets.</li><li>
Assist with basic job site organization and housekeeping.
</li><li>Assist with other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>1-3 years of structured cabling experience required.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to exhibit a positive attitude and be a team player.</li><li>
Ability to meet deadlines, listen and follow instructions.</li><li>
Must be able to stoop, kneel, or crouch.</li><li>
Must be able to climb ladders and perform the necessary tasks while on the ladder.</li><li>
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry 25 lbs.</li><li>
Industry Certifications a plus. (i.e. CommScope, Hilti, Panduit, etc.)</li><li>
Must have own tools.</li><li>
Occasional overtime and out of town travel may be required.</li><li>
Ability to travel to multiple locations in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.</li><li>
