Job Summary: The MTSS Instructional Assistant assists the classroom teacher in providing multi-tiered systems of support to students in the classrooms. The assistant works directly with students who have a variety of needs, including physical, emotional, and learning, providing personalized assistance. Some of the responsibilities include providing one-on-one or small group instruction, supporting classroom activities, support intervention strategies, and collect data on student progress.
Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Positive attitude and rapport with students</li><li>
Ability to work cooperatively with teachers and students</li></ul> 
Desired Qualifications:<ul><li>
Experience as an instructional assistant</li><li>
College classes in English, math, and/or education</li></ul>
Job Description:<ul><li>
Assist in the tutoring of individual students or groups of students</li><li>
Assist teacher in helping students develop a positive self-concept</li><li>
Assist in student intervention work &amp; progress monitoring</li><li>
Assist in the preparation of intervention materials</li><li>
Assist in keeping intervention materials &amp; room neat and orderly</li><li>
Work collaborative as member of building Multi-Tiered Systems and Support (MTSS) team</li><li>
Supervises students upon arrival to school</li><li>
Supervises a portion of lunch recess</li><li>
Responsible for maintaining confidentiality for all school-related information</li><li>
Shall perform other duties as assigned by the principal</li></ul> 
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:<ul><li>
This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking.</li><li>
The position requires occasional lifting of supplies and movement of classroom furnishings during the course of the school day.</li><li>
Work may take place both indoors and outdoors, with the possibility of some travel to other schools or field trip locations.</li></ul> 
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, 7.00 hours daily, 35.00 hours weekly, August to June
Salary:
$14.05 per hour

The clinic offers primary care, x-rays, some medical procedures, lab work, and limited pharmacy services.</li></ul>
