Job Summary Rockford law firm is seeking a legal assistant to support multiple attorneys. We are seeking a dedicated employee. Prior relevant work experience or a familiarity with civil litigation is preferred. The central responsibilities of the position include managing attorney calendars; coordinating meetings; file set-up; transcription; creating, revising and formatting legal documents; e-filing; creating billing invoices and extensive and impeccable proofreading.This position requires the ability to adapt to multiple work styles and to maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality in all client and firm matters. The applicant must be an excellent communicator, extremely detail-oriented, and possess the ability to routinely manage competing priorities.The position is full-time, from the hours of 8:30 am &ndash; 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Pay is commensurate with experience. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, MS Outlook, and document preparation and formatting is required. Prior Adobe Acrobat, TABS and e-filing experience are also strongly preferred.
