Position Summary
We're looking for an experienced and driven Branch Manager to take ownership of branch operations, people, and financial performance. In this role, you'll lead a talented team, oversee projects from start to finish, and ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
This is a leadership role with real impact: you'll shape branch culture, mentor future leaders, and contribute directly to the company's growth. The right candidate is a hands-on leader and strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Branch Operations<ul><li>
Oversee all branch activities, from field to office, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.</li><li>
Drive compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.</li><li>
Manage scheduling, staffing, and project execution to deliver consistent results.</li><li>
Partner closely with stakeholders including but not limited to project managers and foremen to keep jobs on track.</li></ul>
Own Financial Performance<ul><li>
Monitor and drive branch profitability, balancing revenue, expenses, and job costs.</li><li>
Prepare budgets and forecasts</li><li>
Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and invoices.</li></ul>
Inspire and Develop People<ul><li>
Hire, train, and mentor project managers, field staff, and administrative team members.</li><li>
Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth.</li><li>
Build a positive, collaborative team culture that celebrates success and problem-solving.</li></ul>
Grow Client &amp; Business Relationships<ul><li>
Cultivate long-term partnerships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.</li><li>
Identify and pursue opportunities for new projects and business development.</li><li>
Represent Mathews Mechanical at client meetings, industry events, and in the community.</li></ul>
Drive Strategic Growth<ul><li>
Align branch operations with company-wide goals and values.</li><li>
Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.</li><li>
Contribute to the company's long-term vision and success.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
5+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.</li><li>
Proven track record managing commercial or industrial construction projects.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and job costing.</li><li>
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.</li><li>
Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling tools.</li><li>
Valid driver's license with ability to travel to job sites as needed.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.</li><li>
OSHA 30 Certification.</li><li>
Experience with estimating and business development.</li></ul>
