<p>
The Buyer II is responsible for supplier interaction, sourcing and procuring all materials, bulks, tools, consumables, safety supplies, etc., in support of Operations. This position will also include the oversight of frame agreements with strategic suppliers.</p>

Essential Functions</b></h2>
<ul><li>Actively supports the Company&rsquo;s commitment to safety and its &ldquo;Core Values&rdquo;.</li>
<li>Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company&rsquo;s &ldquo;Code of Business Conduct and Ethics&rdquo;.</li>
<li>Provide subject matter expertise to monitor and track commodity pricing levels specific to budgeted spend and understand the industry of suppliers and materials identified for procurement.</li>
<li>Monitor, communicate, and respond to changing market conditions and price trends to maximize leverage and minimize risk.</li>
<li>Monitor new trends in purchasing; recommend new ideas and trends to management.</li>
<li>Foster supplier relationships, beginning with sourcing, developing, and vetting suppliers and ending with monitoring of supplier performance.</li>
<li>Leverage and drive the Company&rsquo;s position as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to obtain OEM pricing with manufacturers.</li>
<li>Assist in achieving financial targets and cost-reduction initiatives, including savings targets.</li>
<li>Ensure use of framework agreements and preferred supplier agreements.</li>
<li>Lead and support proposal efforts by soliciting qualified bids from material suppliers.</li>
<li>When required, coordinate with field operations to assure appropriate field receiving and material management timing and requirements.</li>
<li>Process project Bills of Material, source, negotiate prices, place purchase orders, expedite delivery, and maintain good supplier relations, all while meeting production schedule requirements.</li>
<li>Interface between suppliers and various internal departments to resolve issues, invoice problems, material specification questions, variances, etc., as required.</li>
<li>Ensure purchase orders list complete material/service specifications, as listed on Bills of Material, Engineering drawings, AMLs, and other source documents.</li>
<li>Maximize saving in all aspects of purchasing.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as required or assigned.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications</b></h2>
<ul><li>2-year degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.</li>
<li>4+ years&rsquo; experience in manufacturing purchasing, preferably in construction/industrial area.</li>
<li>Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M) preferred.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of Purchasing practices and procedures, as well as strong knowledge of industrial materials and associated supplier base.</li>
<li>Strong negotiation, decision-making, and communication skills, both verbal and written.</li>
<li>Ability to read prints and pull materials from prints.</li>
<li>Knowledge of API, ASME, and ASTM code.</li>
<li>Ability to work well in a very fast pace and demanding purchasing environment.</li>
<li>Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Practical problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.</li>
<li>Strong computer knowledge, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and material management software.</li>
<li>Occasional overtime and willingness to travel as needed/required.</li></ul><br>
