Maintenance Technician

A. Fabrication &amp; Assembly<ul><li>Carry out fitting, assembly, and mechanical fabrication work as per drawings.</li><li>Use fabrication tools such as grinders, drills, cutters, measuring instruments.</li><li>Fit and assemble metal parts, subassemblies, frames, brackets, supports, etc.</li><li>Perform sheet metal fitting, alignment, drilling, tapping, reaming, etc.</li><li>Operate fabrication machines (shearing, bending, rolling &ndash; if applicable).</li></ul>B. Technical Skills<ul><li>Able to read and understand mechanical drawings.</li><li>Knowledge of materials like MS, SS, aluminium, structural steel.</li><li>Knowledge of tolerances, fits, and fabrication standards.</li></ul>C. Quality &amp; Inspection<ul><li>Perform self-inspection using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges.</li><li>Ensure fabrication meets quality and dimensional accuracy.</li><li>Follow SOPs and maintain 5S standards on shop floor.</li></ul>D. Job SummaryResponsible for the electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC, VMC, HMC, and other precision machine tools to ensure minimum downtime and smooth production operations.2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Preventive &amp; Breakdown Maintenance<ul><li>Perform preventive maintenance (PM) of CNC/VMC machines as per schedule.</li><li>Diagnose and repair electrical faults in control circuits, drives, motors, sensors, limit switches, and power circuits.</li><li>Quick response to breakdowns to minimize machine downtime.</li><li>Maintain and update maintenance logs.</li></ul>B. CNC/VMC System Expertise<ul><li>Troubleshooting of:</li><li>CNC controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, etc.)</li><li>Servo drives &amp; servo motors</li><li>Spindle drives / VFDs</li><li>PLC systems</li><li>I/O modules &amp; feedback systems (encoders, resolvers)</li></ul>C. Electrical Systems<ul><li>Inspect and repair control panels, wiring, relays, MCBs, contactors, SMPS, transformers.</li><li>Knowledge of 3-phase power distribution, grounding/earthing, and industrial safety standards.</li><li>Ensure safe operation of MCC panels and machine power circuits.</li></ul>D. Documentation &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Prepare calibration/maintenance records and service reports.</li><li>Maintain spare parts inventory for electrical components.</li><li>Ensure compliance with ISO/5S/industry safety regulations.</li></ul>E. Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Suggest and implement improvements to reduce failures and enhance machine reliability.</li><li>Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for major repairs and upgrades.</li></ul>3. Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC machine electrical systems.</li><li>Hands-on experience with PLC fault diagnosis and basic ladder logic understanding.</li><li>Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.</li><li>Familiar with measurement tools: multimeter, clamp meter, megger, oscilloscope (optional).</li><li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure during breakdowns.</li></ul>4.
