With offices across the country and rapidly growing teams, we are dedicated to maximizing the recovery of our deserving clients.What we&rsquo;re looking for: Our Chicago, Illinois office is seeking to hire an investigator to support the Litigation Teams by interviewing clients and other individuals, drafting documents, assisting with trials, and other duties. We are looking for energetic, compassionate, detail-oriented people for this on-site position. The ability to rent and drive a car is crucial for this position.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: <ul><li>Interviewing clients about their work history and exposure to asbestos;</li><li>Locate and interview witnesses;</li><li>Investigate clients&rsquo; work history and work sites to determine product and exposure and how they correlate to the work function;</li><li>Extensive research and memorandum writing;</li><li>Attend and perform document reviews to identify relevant and useful documents;</li><li>Assisting with trial responsibilities, including coordinating witness schedules and assisting with jury selection;</li><li>Extensive travel to clients&rsquo; and potential witnesses&rsquo; homes, including frequent multi-night and short notice travel.</li></ul>Skills desired: <ul><li>Ability to put clients at ease and establish a trusting and comfortable relationship;</li><li>Ability to work under pressure due to time and content sensitive deadlines;</li><li>Strong computer and phone skills;</li><li>Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to establish and foster working relationships with attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and legal assistants;</li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to process large amounts of information quickly and efficiently;</li><li>Minimum of high-school diploma, some college or bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred;</li><li>Detail oriented with the ability to analyze and problem solve.</li><li>Commitment to taking initiative with learning new information quickly, both in and out of training.</li></ul>Experience preferred: <ul><li>Prior work experience in construction, automotive, industrial, shipbuilding, electrical, or similar trade profession is a plus.</li><li>Experience with legal research and interview skills and techniques.</li><li>Prior experience traveling frequently for business.</li></ul>Maune Raichle Hartley French &amp; Mudd, LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as paid parking.
