About the Role

Maven is looking for an organized, creator-focused intern to support influencer marketing and community engagement for Maven Consumer. You'll work directly with the Senior Manager of Brand Marketing on outreach, database management, and community activation.

This is a 3-month internship running from August through November, 10-15 hours per week.

What You'll Work On

<li>Research and identify creators, influencers, and brand advocates aligned with Maven's target audience, using AI-assisted tools to build lists and surface emerging creators</li>
<li>Support influencer outreach and day-to-day creator communications, including drafting outreach copy</li>
<li>Maintain influencer databases, campaign trackers, and partnership reporting documents</li>
<li>Monitor creator content and collect performance data to inform ongoing strategy</li>
<li>Support Maven's ambassador program, including communications and activation logistics</li>
<li>Monitor community channels (comments, DMs, forums) and flag recurring themes or engagement opportunities</li>
</ul>
What You'll Bring
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with the creator and influencer landscape with a POV on who's breaking through and why</li>
<li>Comfort using AI tools to speed up research, draft outreach, and organize information</li>
<li>Strong written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear outreach from scratch</li>
<li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail, comfortable owning a tracker and keeping it current</li>
<li>Proactive and self-directed</li>
<li>Experience with influencer or community work through coursework, personal projects, or prior internships is a plus</li>
<li>Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or a related field</li>
</ul>
The compensation rate for this role is expected to be $20/hour.

Maven Consumer is building its paid acquisition engine from the ground up, and great performance marketing is only as strong as the creative that fuels it. The Creative Strategist serves as the connective tissue between data and production: the person who identifies what's converting, understands why, and translates those insights into briefs that move metrics.

This is a highly cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of performance marketing, brand, and content. You'll work closely with the Performance Marketing Manager and partner with Maven's brand team, creators, and external agencies to build a rigorous, always-on creative testing engine. As targeting advantages continue to erode and AI reshapes how creative is produced and distributed, this role becomes increasingly critical&mdash;differentiation now comes from strategy and message quality, not asset volume alone.

This is a remote role open to candidates based in the United States, with a strong preference for those in San Francisco.

As a Creative Strategist, you will:</h4>
<ul><li>Own the creative strategy for paid acquisition, developing and maintaining a weekly and monthly brief cadence across Meta, TikTok, and other paid channels; treat brief quality as the highest-leverage part of the job</li>
<li>Translate performance data into creative direction by analyzing what's working across hook rate, hold rate, CTR, and CVR, and turning those learnings into actionable briefs</li>
<li>Own creative from brief through execution, working directly with designers, editors, and AI platforms to bring concepts to life</li>
<li>Write platform-native UGC scripts and collaborate with creators, talent, and editors to ensure authenticity, narrative clarity, and optimized calls to action</li>
<li>Use AI creative tools (video generation, copy iteration, image tools) to generate and test ad variants at speed, increasing creative velocity and expanding test coverage</li>
<li>Develop a systematic approach to creative testing: hypotheses, angles, hooks, and structured experiments focused on acquisition efficiency and conversion</li>
<li>Maintain consistent creative volume to support scaling paid budgets, owning the operational layer (asset library, naming conventions, agency handoffs) that enables speed and scale</li>
<li>Build and maintain a competitive creative intelligence practice, staying current on what's working in the market, particularly in health and wellness</li>
<li>Own UGC and influencer creative strategy, including frameworks for sourcing, briefing, scripting, and testing creator content as a performance channel</li>
<li>Ensure all creative output meets healthcare advertising guidelines and platform policies</li>
</ul>
We're looking for you to bring:
<ul>
<li>4&ndash;6 years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, or growth, with meaningful time in consumer health, wellness, or DTC subscription businesses</li>
<li>A hybrid creative and performance mindset: you understand what makes creative convert&mdash;not just what looks good&mdash;and can diagnose whether an issue is rooted in hook rate or hold rate</li>
<li>Proven track record of writing briefs and UGC scripts that have moved metrics; strong POV on direct response formats, hooks, and what earns trust in a health context</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (video generation, copy iteration, synthetic testing), actively using them to move faster and expand testing capacity</li>
<li>Fluency in key performance metrics (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, CPA, LTV:CAC) and experience using data to drive creative decisions</li>
<li>Experience owning the full UGC pipeline: sourcing, scripting, briefing, and testing creator content at scale</li>
<li>Comfortable owning both the strategic and operational sides of creative production; you build process where none exists and keep velocity high</li>
</ul>
The base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $170,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.

This is Maven Consumer's founding performance marketing hire &mdash; a true 0-to-1 opportunity to build the paid acquisition engine for a category-defining women's and family health platform. You'll own strategy and hands-on execution across paid channels, with budget authority and direct accountability to CAC and subscriber quality targets. Reporting to the General Manager, Consumer, you'll work in close partnership with the core consumer team.

We're looking for someone who has built out paid acquisition from scratch, knows what DTC health looks like at scale, and understands the nuance of marketing in a trust-sensitive category. You move faster because of AI, test smarter because of AI, and find signal before the competition does.

As a Senior Performance Marketing Manager, you will:
<ul>
<li>Own paid acquisition hands-on across our core digital channels: Meta, Google, and TikTok. Champion new channel experimentation over time.</li>
<li>Directly manage campaigns in-platform, owning performance outcomes and communicating clearly &amp; frequently with the broader consumer team about creative, targeting and pacing</li>
<li>Turn ad performance data into creative insight, and power the feedback loop with creative partners (internal + external) to rapidly test and learn from new ad concepts and formats across channels</li>
<li>Execute on a structured creative testing process, including creative ideation, brief creation, concept testing, ad iteration and scaling</li>
<li>Leverage AI creative tools to generate and test ad variants faster</li>
<li>Drive landing page and funnel experimentation directly; write briefs, review copy, and push tests live with eng/product support</li>
<li>Own channel reporting &amp; deeply understand attribution and measurement strategy to be rigorous about channel impact</li>
<li>Own paid media budget planning and ROI reporting in partnership with Finance</li>
<li>Run your own analyses; comfortable using AI-assisted analytics tools to move faster and surface insight more efficiently</li>
<li>Bring competitive and channel intelligence to the consumer team as the performance marketing expert in the room</li>
<li>Ensure all campaigns adhere to healthcare advertising best practices, including HIPAA-conscious targeting and health category creative restrictions</li>
</ul>
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
<ul>
<li>5&ndash;8 years in performance or growth marketing, with meaningful time in consumer health, wellness, or DTC subscription</li>
<li>Track record owning and scaling paid acquisition budgets from $0 to $MM with budget authority</li>
<li>Hands-on fluency across paid social (Meta, TikTok), SEM, and attribution tooling; you build your own analyses (SQL expected, Mixpanel/Amplitude required)</li>
<li>You actively use AI to move faster &mdash; iterating on copy, testing creative, accelerating your own analysis. Genuinely curious and always experimenting.</li>
<li>Sharp creative judgment: you know what good looks like and have moved metrics with it</li>
<li>Comfortable in 0-to-1 environments: ambiguous, fast-moving, high ownership</li>
