Here, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting families through their legal journeys, relying on your solid three years of family law experience and adept courtroom and negotiation skills. Compensation:
$65,000 - $75,000 yearly
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child and spousal support, post-judgment issues, dependency, and domestic violence</li><li>
Develop and execute legal strategies tailored to each client&rsquo;s goals, case facts, and applicable law</li><li>
Prepare for and conduct court proceedings, including evidentiary hearings and trials</li><li>
Lead and participate in mediations and negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes</li><li>
Draft and supervise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, contracts, and settlement agreements</li><li>
Conduct legal research and case analysis to support litigation and settlement strategies</li><li>
Meet with clients to discuss case progress, evaluate options, and determine next steps</li><li>
Communicate proactively with clients regarding significant developments</li><li>
Collaborate with internal staff and external professionals, including expert witnesses, to support case outcomes</li><li>
Assign and oversee work performed by legal support staff to ensure quality and timeliness</li><li>
Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards</li><li>
Provide MLG staff with copies of all client-provided and attorney-drafted documents</li><li>
Track billable time and value delivered to clients in accordance with firm policies</li><li>
Participate in bi-weekly case review meetings with firm leadership to assess strategy, support needs, and payment status</li><li>
Contribute to firm performance by meeting or exceeding key metrics and expectations</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school</li><li>
Active membership in the Florida Bar Association</li><li>
At least 3 years of experience practicing family law</li><li>
Willingness to travel to Tampa and St. Petersburg courts as needed or relocate</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Strong organizational and time management abilities</li><li>
Empathy, discretion, and professionalism in sensitive client matters</li></ul>

Part-Time Family Law Attorney

<div>Criminal Defense Attorney &mdash; Former Prosecutor Preferred 
Join Our Growing Team at Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. 
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team and provide exceptional legal services to our diverse client base. The ideal candidate is a former prosecutor with substantial jury trial experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates sound judgment, and is committed to long-term growth within our firm. 
You will work closely with senior partners, staff, and clients to develop case strategies, advocate in court, and ensure the highest standard of representation. If you are a strong legal writer, confident in the courtroom, and capable of managing a demanding caseload with minimal supervision, we want to hear from you!
Compensation:
$105,000 - $115,000
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients by assessing their needs and identifying optimal courses of action</li><li>
Develop and execute case strategies, including identifying conflicts and resolution options</li><li>
Prepare and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence</li><li>
Argue motions and represent clients in court proceedings</li><li>
Oversee and collaborate with paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff</li><li>
Manage administrative tasks related to billing, scheduling, and client communications</li><li>
Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Has a proven track record of success in criminal jury trials (50+ trials strongly preferred)</li><li>
Brings a prosecutor&rsquo;s mindset and courtroom confidence to defense work</li><li>
Demonstrates ownership, initiative, and a commitment to long-term contribution</li><li>
Communicates clearly and persuasively with clients, colleagues, and the court</li><li>
Thrives in a collaborative environment but can operate independently when needed</li><li>
Is passionate about justice, client advocacy, and continuous professional growth</li><li>
Active member of the Florida state bar</li><li>
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school</li><li>
Minimum of 3 years handling criminal cases</li><li>
Significant jury trial experience (50+ trials preferred)</li><li>
Proficient in Westlaw, Lexis, and other legal research tools, as well as Microsoft Office and legal case management software</li><li>
Able to manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision</li><li>
Experience overseeing or mentoring support staff is a plus</li><li>
Prior work on federal criminal cases is a strong plus</li></ul> 
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Details will be discussed during the interview process.
