Med Tech, Full Time, Thursday - Monday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, $19.00/hour.
Job Summary:
The Medication Technician is responsible for providing the highest level of compassionate, quality resident care and services by assisting residents with medication administration and activities of daily living, in accordance with their personalized service plans. This includes documenting, delivering, and administering or assisting with treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians, in a safe, organized manner and in accordance with all policies, procedures, government regulations, and guidelines.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Assist residents with their daily medications, treatments, and resident care as assigned and within the scope of and in strict adherence with practice, policy, procedures, and government regulations.</li><li>
Notify Supervisor if prescribed medication is not administered according to directions and document the reason(s) why.</li><li>
Maintain clear, accurate, complete, and confidential records on resident medication and care in accordance with established procedures and governing requirements.</li><li>
Track all orders for medication changes and/or refills, notify the pharmacy of new orders, and report any missing medications to the Supervisor.</li><li>
Assist caregivers in the performance of their job duties by fulfilling the responsibilities of the Caregiver job description.</li><li>
Document appropriate information, including incident reports, and communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.</li><li>
Respond promptly to emergencies and resident alerts or requests as needed.</li><li>
Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following established safety standards, policies, and procedures.</li><li>
Understand and comply with Federal, State, and local regulations, and company policies and procedures concerning the department.</li><li>
Promote and lead with a spirit of teamwork and open communication through consistent mentoring, coaching, and recognition program utilization, in alignment with MBK principles and core values.</li><li>
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Director of Health Services and/or Executive Director, or designee.</li></ul>
Education Requirements:
<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent (GED), required.</li><li>
Certification or education as required by state regulations.</li><li>
Must have or be able to obtain a valid CPR &amp; First Aid certification.</li></ul>
Experience Requirements (in years):<ul><li>
1+ years of prior related work experience functioning in a similar healthcare role, within a similar industry/work environment is essential.</li><li>
1+ years of experience handling medications preferred; on-the-job training is available for candidates with the appropriate focus and desire.</li></ul>
Required Competencies/Licenses/Certifications:<ul><li>
Willingness and ability to effectively manage and respond to resident behaviors, including a wide variety of verbal and physical expressions, while maintaining a safe environment.</li><li>
Must be age 18 or over.</li><li>
Must complete required Background, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).</li><li>
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English and effectively follow both spoken and written directions.</li><li>
Must be comfortable with technology for documentation of medication passes, incidents, and notes.</li><li>
Must meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements, always including medication certification and HIPAA compliance.</li><li>
Must possess the ability to interact effectively, deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, and guests of diverse backgrounds always.</li><li>
Must possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.</li><li>
Must possess the ability to make sound, independent decisions when circumstances are warranted, remain calm, and effectively manage stressful or emergency situations.</li><li>
Ability and willingness to work independently without day-to-day oversight and supervision.</li><li>

<ul><li>Assist residents with their daily medications, treatments and resident care as assigned and with the scope of practice, policy and procedures, and government regulations. Job Description
Schedule: Part Time, Tuesday - Friday (4:00pm - 8:00pm)
Job Summary: The responsibilities of the Concierge is to handle a variety of administrative duties, greet visitors, answer phone, relay messages and is often the customers first contact with the community. It is important that the Concierge always provides excellent customer service and promotes the positive image of the community through dress and behaviors.<div>
Essential Job Duties (Include % of time for each responsibility): 
<ul><li>Arrive to work on time and prepared for your shift 100%</li><li>Maintain a neat a professional appearance keeping the front entrance, lobby, and reception areas clean and organized 20%</li><li>Ensuring all people who come in contact with are welcomed warmly to the community by standing to greet and offering any assistance needed 30%</li><li>Answering telephones within 3 rings, always using a professional and courteous voice followed by the designated script 20%</li><li>Transferring incoming calls or take and deliver appropriate messages 20%</li><li>Monitor all visitor, requesting them to sign in and out of the logbook, reporting and suspicious persons or activity immediately to the supervisor 20%</li><li>Sort and distribute incoming mail 5%</li><li>Accept and report resident&rsquo;s special requests 5%</li><li>Maintain communities lost and found 5%</li><li>Order and replenish administrative supplies as necessary 5%</li><li>Follow all safety standards when operating office equipment 100%</li><li>Support department heads and Executive Directors in administrative functions 100%</li><li>Maintain and check off meal attendance tracking form alerting staff of needed room services or residents who have not yet attended meals 20%</li><li>Display a positive and professional image through actions and dress in accordance with the MBK Principles and Core values 100%</li><li>Encourage teamwork through open communication with Team Members. 100%</li><li>Perform other duties as consistent with the position and assigned by the front desk supervisor and/or executive director 20%</li></ul></div><div>

Requirements (Include education, experience, special skills, licenses, certifications): 
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED</li><li>Age over 18 years</li><li>Background clearance as required by government regulations</li><li>Negative TB test results</li><li>Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak, write and read English</li><li>Ability to operate computer, necessary software programs ( word, email, excel), scanners, copiers, and fax machines</li><li>Ability to be professional at all times with other Team Members, residents, family members, and visitors</li><li>Follow all grooming and dress standards to present the best image</li></ul></div><div>
Physical Demands (Include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, walking, standing, sitting): 
<ul><li>Must be able to lift 25 pounds</li><li>Must be able to move intermittently throughout day and throughout community</li><li>Must be able to push a resident safely in their wheelchairs</li></ul></div>
