We are looking for mission-driven employees who are interested in working with a supportive team to help us change lives.The Office Specialist is a consistent administrative resource to parents and staff throughout the summer. Their work rhythm follows the flow of sessions as they support start and end tasks for each session, plus daily operations tasks including camper mail, parent communication, office administrative tasks and more, while having cushion in their schedule to support various projects and tasks that come up to elevate the impact of office operations to serve camp and campers. Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Greets all guests, including vendors, contractors, alumni, parents or the public.</li><li>Receives Camp Echo mail and processes accordingly.</li><li>Answers Camp Echo phones and addresses questions, redirects, or takes messages for prompt follow-up and corresponds with parents via email.</li><li>Assists the trading post operations.</li><li>Prints, sorts, and protects (shreds) camper forms for the start and end of each session.</li><li>Transfers camper notes into CampMinder for camp staff.</li><li>Completes off-camp errands as needed, such as taking campers to local clinic or depositing revenue at bank.</li><li>Helps with last day (Friday) and first day (Sunday) operations</li><li>Assists Camp Echo managers and directors with other projects as requested.</li></ul>Experience/Education/Certification Requirements/Requisite Computer Skills:<ul><li>Minimum age of 18 per Michigan State Licensing requirements.</li><li>First Aid/CPR/AED certified. Training provided if necessary.</li><li>Leadership ability and teamwork oriented</li><li>Experience or training in business management functions</li><li>Strong customer service skills</li><li>Competent in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel and highly organized</li><li>A commitment to working with a diverse staff and camper population for the fulfillment of YMCA goals</li></ul>Pay: $17.25 - $18.75 per hourWork Location: In person
