<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Classification and Title: Therapist - A Fulltime Non-Exempt Position</b></h2>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Position Summary:</b></h3>
<p>Provides alcohol and drug counseling services to chemically dependent clients through individual, group and family therapy. Assists clients in the development of interpersonal skills required to promote recovery and maintain sobriety. Reports progress on appointments and paperwork as specified by supervisor. Posts notes within time frame specified by documentation policy. Completes all paperwork including writing Discharge Summary or Discharge Note as specified in Discharge Policy. Complies with all Federal, State, Agency and Accreditation standards including ODMHAS, CARF, and HIPAA.</p>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></h3>
<ul><li>Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II.</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, or related field and computer literacy.</li>
<li>Additional requirements may vary depending on program or paying source guidelines.</li>
<li>Insurable under agency's auto insurance without an increase in premium.</li>
<li>Must provide own transportation.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Post-offer of Hire Requirements:</b></h3>
<ul><li>Negative TB test, and drug urine screen, and acceptable criminal background check required.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Post-hire Requirements:</b></h3>
<ul><li>Familiarity with civil rights and client rights procedures.</li>
<li>Flexibility of hours to suit agency needs.</li>
<li>Participate in all mandatory training events including annual CPR, First Aid, Infection Control, De-escalation, and Cultural Sensitivity Training.</li>
<li>Complies with all Federal, State, Agency and Accreditation Standards including ODMHAS, CARF and HIPAA.</li>
<li>Maintains appropriate professional credential or license.</li>
<li>Maintains knowledge of community resources and established contacts.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Unusual Working Conditions:</b></h3>
<p>Exposure to clients with alcohol and other drug related problems. Potential for exposure to Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis, and other blood borne or airborne pathogen diseases. May require transporting clients in Agency or own vehicle.</p></div>
