<div>We're seeking a Lab Manager for our next reservoir project near Clewiston. One of the landmark projects &ndash; one of the largest in Florida, if not the entire nation. Job Responsibilities &amp; Requirements<ul><li>
Manage and maintain the laboratory facility to ensure a safe, productive environment.</li><li>
Maintain and ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated.</li><li>
Maintain satisfactory Lab Qualifications and audits through FDOT.</li><li>
Manage internal documentation and procedures and perform during the accreditation and certification process.</li><li>
Ensure that testing results are reported within specification-dictated timelines and communicated internally throughout the testing process.</li><li>
Plan, recruit, and provide recommendations for laboratory staff.</li><li>
Coordinate and facilitate proper training for lab and field personnel.</li><li>
Directly supervise and perform laboratory activities and testing procedures.</li><li>
Ensure that laboratory processes and personnel adhere to the requirements of the MC2 Quality Management Program and guidelines set forth by AASHTO and ASTM</li><li>
Work with the Department Managers to ensure proper lab resources are in place to meet project needs.</li><li>
Heavy lifting may be part of the day-to-day job (&gt;70lb)</li><li>
Assist in updating SOP (standard operating procedures) and QMS (quality management systems).</li><li>
Assist in Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) duties.</li></ul>
Education<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering or related field (preferred)</li></ul>
Work Experience<ul><li>
3+ years&rsquo; experience performing laboratory tests on construction and geotechnical materials (working on FDOT projects is preferred)</li><li>
FDOT MAC System experience (preferred)</li><li>
Experienced testing soils, masonry, concrete, and asphalt</li><li>
Ability to communicate and interact respectfully and professionally with verbal and written communication.</li><li>
Microsoft Office suite proficiency</li></ul>
