 Mendocino Community Health Center, Inc. (MCHC) is currently seeking a General Dentist (DDS/ DMD) to join our care team. MCHC provides comprehensive services for the communities of Mendocino and Lake Counties In addition to Dental Care, we provide primary care, behavioral health, women's services, and specialty care services. There is strong team support and a multidisciplinary care team approach to care. The mission of MCHC Health Centers is to provide compassionate, high-quality healthcare for everyone in our communities. We ensure that there are no closed doors for those seeking dental or primary health care at MCHC in Lake and Mendocino Counties. Our Dental team consists of Dentists, RDH, RDA-EFT2s, RDAs, and DAs. Dental is central to the care we provide our patients. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:30. This dentist will see a wide range of ages, including pediatric patients. To ensure a smooth opening, we plan to welcome new team members ahead of time, providing them with thorough training and the opportunity to build strong organizational knowledge. As a Clinical Registered Nurse, you&rsquo;ll help lay the foundation for excellent patient experiences from day one by shaping workflows, building a strong care team, and setting the standard for same-day access to care.
 
 
 
 
 
 In this role, you&rsquo;ll use your clinical expertise to triage patients, support providers, and ensure smooth care coordination across the health center.  What You&rsquo;ll Do
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide same-day clinical support to patients via in-person and phone triage once the clinic opens.
 </li>
 <li>
 Use nursing protocols and sound clinical judgment to assess urgent medical needs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Help develop and refine patient flow processes for efficient, compassionate care.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deliver direct patient care and supervise medical assistants and LVNs within the Care Team.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor follow-up care after emergency room visits or hospital discharge.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with the Population Health team to manage chronic care and overdue screenings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Serve as a clinical resource, preceptor, and role model for nursing best practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage daily team huddles and provider inboxes to maintain continuity and high-quality care.
 </li>
 <li>
 Administer and verify injections and vaccines as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in ongoing quality improvement, training, and cross-site support.
 </li>
