<div>The EpiCore and its personnel are affiliated with the Department of Epigenetics and Molecular Carcinogenesis (EMC), an interdisciplinary, basic science research department that conducts groundbreaking research aimed at defining the mechanisms controlling normal cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and survival as well as mechanisms controlling genome maintenance to identify the aberrations in these processes that drive cancer. The Epigenomics Profiling Core (EpiCore) is an institutional resource for epigenomics research that brings scientific expertise, advanced assays, and specialized equipment not readily available to MD Anderson researchers. Cost-effective, full-service protocols are available to investigate DNA methylation, chromatin accessibility and DNA-protein interactions. This core facilitates researchers' efforts to understand epigenetic mechanisms that alter the chromatin state that regulate the transcription output in normal and disease conditions. The Dr. Marcos R. Estecio's Research Assistant II will provide experimental and technical support for ongoing DNA methylation projects. 
 
The ideal candidate must have one to three years of experience in an academic or other laboratory setting. The candidate must be proficient in cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry techniques, and Western blotting. The ideal candidate must also have the ability to work on several short-term projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
 
Minimum salary $45,000.00, midpoint $56,500.00, maximum $68,000.00.

The Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) supports both clinical and research initiatives by performing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures and investigational radiopharmaceutical therapies. Medical Imaging Technologist / Clinical Research Imaging

<div>The Pharmacy Informatics Analyst supports MD Anderson's medication-use systems by optimizing the technology that drives pharmacy and clinical workflows. This role collaborates with pharmacists, clinicians, and IT teams to build, maintain, and enhance EHR pharmacy modules (e.g., Epic Willow/Beacon), medication order sets, treatment plans, automated dispensing systems, and related clinical decision support tools. Informatics Analyst - Pharmacy

<div>The Health Information Specialist at MD Anderson Cancer Center serves as a front-line customer service agent for referring physicians and consumers who contact the institution for referrals, services, or cancer-related information. This role provides timely and accurate information through telephone, email, and online communication channels, directly impacting the quality of service provided to patients, caregivers, medical professionals, and the community.

Health Information Specialist

Writer/Producer position 
 
A part time college student position is available in the department of Strategic Communications. The primary purpose of this position is to learn about healthcare strategic communications and support the University of Texas MD Anderson digital communications through development of content for the web, social media and intranet.
 
 
All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations. 
 
LEARNING OBJECTIVES 
1. Writing, Interviewing and Producing: Under the direction and supervision of Strategic Communications professionals, write interview questions, conduct interviews, attend b-roll shoots, and write soundbite-based scripts to form the basis of at least two short videos. Work with Strategic Communications professionals to oversee the projects through the post-production process. Incorporates learnings related to UT MD Anderson's video guidelines, equipment operation, best practices and institutional branding. Strong writing and proofreading skills preferred.
 
 
2. Communications Presentation: Identify and complete a presentation summarizing findings of an independent digital communications research project or competitive analysis. Project may be self-originated or assigned, based on agreement with supervisor.
 
 
3. Other duties as assigned. Attends some business meetings and may accompany Strategic Communications professionals and assist on photography or video shoots.
