The ideal candidate will be organized, flexible, and demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills ensuring every interaction with patients, families, and coworkers reflects compassion and respect. Prior direct patient care experience and CNA certification is preferred but not required.
 
The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

KEY FUNCTIONS 
Partners with Health Care Team:
 
<ul><li>Responsibilities include completion of routine or advanced patient care assignments as delegated.
</li><li>Understands critical changes to patient status and reports concerns to appropriate nursing staff.
</li><li>Works with multidisciplinary team members to identify and address patient care needs.</li></ul>

Patient Care Technician - Ambulatory Treatment Center

<div>Health Services Research conducts the highest quality health services research with the ultimate aims of optimizing health care delivery and improving outcomes for the prevention and treatment of cancer. 
 
The primary purpose of the Senior Research Data Coordinator is to recruit research participants, enroll them onto studies, and collect research data within the Decision Support Laboratory and related decision science core facilities.
 
 
The Senior Research Data Coordinator is responsible for coordinating study activities, managing research data, and supporting participant recruitment across multiple studies. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. The Senior Research Data Coordinator works onsite and may be required to work evenings, weekends, and travel locally based on research and business needs. 
 
The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Prior experience in population health or health services research, particularly in recruiting participants for research studies is strongly preferred.
 
 
Minimum $24.28 - Midpoint $30.29 - Maximum $36.30 per hour based on a 40-hour work week. 
The typical work schedule is Onsite Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with evenings and weekends as needed based on business needs. 
Work Location: Onsite in the Houston, Texas area, with local travel required.

Responsibilities 
 
Study Coordination 
<ul><li>Coordinate study meetings, including scheduling, booking rooms or virtual spaces, creating agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items</li><li>Follow study procedures and create and update standard operating procedure manuals</li><li>Serve as a liaison with research participants, faculty, and study personnel</li><li>Coordinate data collection from collaborators</li><li>Assist with Institutional Review Board submissions, resubmissions, continuing reviews, amendments, and audits</li><li>Translate documents between English and Spanish</li><li>Attend mandatory training and remain current on data management and research guidelines</li><li>Notify the Principal Investigator of protocol deviations, potential violations, or research issues</li><li>Assist with decision aid production and manuscript or grant proposal preparation</li><li>Communicate clearly and professionally in English and Spanish across multiple communication methods</li></ul> 

Data Collection and Database Maintenance 
<ul><li>Randomize patients to study arms and administer intervention materials as applicable</li><li>Administer questionnaires in English and Spanish in person, by mail, email, phone, or virtually</li><li>Ensure assessments and procedures are conducted according to study schedules</li><li>Manage and document participant compensation per institutional guidelines</li><li>Record data and procedures following source documentation requirements</li><li>Develop, maintain, enter, and verify research databases</li><li>Conduct literature reviews and abstract data from published sources</li><li>Conduct user testing, qualitative interviews, and transcribe research recordings in English and Spanish</li><li>Organize and maintain paper and electronic study files, regulatory binders, and source documents</li><li>Compile data and generate reports as needed</li></ul> 

Recruitment 
<ul><li>Screen individuals for study eligibility using charts and study protocols</li><li>Recruit participants in English and Spanish through in-person, phone, email, mail, text, and virtual outreach</li><li>Respond to calls, voicemails, and messages from potential participants</li><li>Obtain informed consent in English and Spanish</li><li>Complete required human subjects research documentation</li><li>Coordinate recruitment materials and outreach communications</li><li>Enter enrolled participants into the Oncore database</li></ul>
