We will be a big <b>FAN</b> of yours too if, at a minimum, you have:</div><ul><li>
A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years old,</li><li>
Relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement,</li><li>
A current driver&rsquo;s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving your personal vehicle to and from various community locations either independently or with other team members and/or Individuals, and if a company vehicle is available for use, one must also be 21 years of age, and</li><li>
Ability to read, write and speak English. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.</li></ul><div></div><div><br>

There will be challenges:</b>
</div><div><ul><li>Just like families, disabilities come in different types. You will see many of them along with the mental health challenges in the Individuals (aka the Program participants) that we serve. You will also learn about the different agencies and resources we work with to help you provide support directly, or indirectly, to the Individuals.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>
There will be chores:</b></div><ul><li>
Your work will directly improve the quality of life for the Individuals you support. You will learn techniques to help them have positive interactions with others and reach their goals. You will assist Individuals with their personal needs (e.g., hygiene matters like baths/showers, changing clothes/adult briefs, teeth brushing, medication reminders, etc.) and with social needs (e.g., prepare meals, clean, and engage with them through exercise/movement, games and/or transporting them in your, or company, vehicle to community activities, etc.).</li><li>
You will also keep accurate progress notes and proactively communicate information with your team about the Individuals&rsquo; needs &ndash; taking care of them like you would with your own family.</li></ul><div><b>
There will be chats, C.A.R.E., &amp; cheers:</b></div><ul><li>
You will participate in all required training, team, and company meetings to build your knowledge, skills, and abilities to grow in the family. We like to promote from within our own house!</li><li>
You will take ownership of your own behaviors, and help coach others over time, in how to effectively demonstrate the company&rsquo;s C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).</li><li>
You will receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback and be recognized for your personal and team contributions in addition to demonstrating the C.A.R.E. values.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Related experience</b> in the following fields a plus: Assisted Living, Behavior Aide, Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistants, CNAs, Developmentally Disabled, DD, Job Coach, Direct Support Professional, DSP, Child Care, Elderly Care, Senior Care, Hospice Care, ILS, LVN, Autism, Special Education, Special Needs, ILS, SLS, Housekeeper, Driver, Cleaner, Home Health Aides (HHAs), Residential Care Facility Staff, In-home support, Med Tech, Personal Care Attendant, Day Program Staff or Adult Day Program.</p><div></div><div><b><br>
