Our Midwest Water Civil/Hydrodynamics Department has a full-time opening for an experienced professional to manage our staff and projects.</div><div><br>
</div><div><b>Responsibilities include:</b></div><ul><li>
Leading wastewater and stormwater collection system evaluation, planning, and design projects, tasks, and teams to solve municipal collection system problems related to combined and sanitary sewer overflows, flooding, collection system aging, and water quality
</li><li>Ensuring deliverables satisfy client requirements and meet quality expectations</li><li>
Performing technical work, writing, and giving presentations
</li><li>Coordinating workload needs with department staff and other managers</li><li>
Coaching and supporting staff development and goals achievement</li><li>
Monitoring and addressing staff performance</li><li>
Reviewing and approving employee timesheets and expenses</li><li>
Coordinating with the Department Manager to prepare proposals to acquire contracts and manage those contracts</li><li>
Reviewing and approving budgets for projects</li><li>
Monitoring project performance and profitability</li><li>
Maintaining relationships with clients</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
Some travel will be required.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
The successful candidate will have one of the following:</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (or higher) in civil, environmental, or related engineering degree plus three (3) years of relevant collection system analysis or design experience in the consulting business</li></ul><div>
-OR-</div><ul><li>
Associate degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering degree plus five (5) years of relevant collection system analysis or design experience in the consulting business</li></ul><div>
-OR-
</div><ul><li>If no degree, at least seven(7) years of relevant collection system analysis or design experience in the consulting business</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
</b></div><ul><li>At least eight (8) years of relevant work experience</li><li>
At least six (6) months of experience supervising staff</li><li>
At least one (1) year of formal project management experience, including successful control of project scopes, schedules, and budgets</li><li>
PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in Wisconsin and/or Illinois within 12 months of hire</li><li>
Proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D AND/OR hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software such as PCSWMM, EPASWMM, ICM InfoWorks, or similar</li><li>
Demonstrated history of creating technically supported and professionally presented client deliverables, both individually and when leading a team</li><li>
A commitment to team psychological safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement</li><li>
Ability to think critically and thoroughly</li><li>
Client management including preparing proposals for municipal related projects</li></ul><div></div><div><br>

Water Resources Supervisor (Combined Sewer Systems)

Mead &amp; Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an electrical engineer.</div><div><br>
</div><div><b>Responsibilities include:
</b></div><ul><li>The design of electrical systems for public or water/wastewater facility projects</li><li>
Preparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and construction</li><li>
Technical support on large and/or complex projects</li><li>
Providing construction administration and site visits</li><li>
Mentoring staff; coordinating work and communication between subcontractors, teaming partners and suppliers</li><li>
Client management</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
Some travel will be required.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
The successful candidate must have all of the following:</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (or higher) in electrical from an accredited college or university</li><li>
At least six (6) years of relevant electrical engineering experience</li><li>
A PE in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states within six (6) months of hire</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:</b></div><ul><li>
Experience with designing electrical systems for public and water/wastewater facilities (water/wastewater collection, pumping/treatment and discharge)</li><li>
Designing electrical systems using power analysis software (EasyPower, SKM Power Tools, or similar) and lighting calculation software (Visual Lighting, AGI32, or ElumTools)</li><li>
Codes, statutes, standards and laws related to building design and construction</li><li>
Experience with arc flash hazards</li><li>
Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFD) and pumps</li><li>
Understanding of medium voltage distribution systems</li><li>
Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD</li><li>
Experience mentoring less experienced engineers</li><li>
Experience with power system studies, system planning and operations, and equipment specifications</li><li>
Knowledge of/experience the coordination with other engineering fields</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
