Overview</b></p>
<p>
Mechanical Concepts is building a strong HVAC parts operation in the South Louisiana market and is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to take ownership of a territory and drive its growth</p>
<p>
This role is focused on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and becoming a trusted resource for contractors, technicians, and service teams across the region.</p>
<p>
You will take ownership of your territory, work closely with the Parts Store Manager, and play a direct role in building a parts operation that stands out in the market&mdash;one that sets a new standard for what a parts department should be.</p>

Key Responsibilities</b></h2>
<ul><li>Identify and develop new customer accounts within the assigned territory</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, technicians, and service teams</li>
<li>Conduct regular sales calls, jobsite visits, and customer meetings</li>
<li>Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate parts and solutions</li>
<li>Generate quotes, follow up consistently, and close sales opportunities</li>
<li>Support customers with part identification, availability, and order coordination</li>
<li>Expand existing accounts by introducing new products, aftermarket solutions, and replacement opportunities</li>
<li>Stay informed on manufacturer updates, product changes, and service bulletins</li>
<li>Monitor market activity, competitor positioning, and customer feedback</li>
<li>Maintain organized records of customer interactions, quotes, and opportunities</li>
<li>Take ownership of territory performance and consistently work to grow market share</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications</b></h2>
<ul><li>Experience in HVAC parts sales, HVAC service, or a related parts industry preferred</li>
<li>Proven ability to build relationships and generate sales in a customer-facing or field role</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with contractors and technicians</li>
<li>Self-motivated with the ability to manage time, prioritize, and work independently</li>
<li>Comfortable in a fast-paced, field-driven sales environment</li>
<li>Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and related systems)</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record</li>

Overview</b></h2>
<p>
We are seeking a motivated HVAC Parts Counter Sales team member to support daily parts store operations in the New Orleans / Metairie area.</p>
<p>
This is not a passive counter role. We are looking for someone who is customer-oriented, dependable, and engaged&mdash;someone who communicates well, follows through, and takes pride in helping customers get what they need quickly and accurately.</p>
<p>
You will work closely with the Parts Store Manager and play an important role in delivering a high level of service to contractors, technicians, and service teams.</p>

Key Responsibilities</b></h2>
<ul><li>Assist customers at the counter, over the phone, and through will call in a professional and helpful manner</li>
<li>Process parts orders accurately and efficiently</li>
<li>Perform parts lookup for multiple equipment lines</li>
<li>Prepare job quotes and maintain an active open quote log for customer follow-up</li>
<li>Process warranty claims</li>
<li>Support customers in identifying substitute products when primary items are unavailable</li>
<li>Help maintain desired margins by following established pricing structure</li>
<li>Arrange and stock merchandise on shelves or racks and keep the sales area organized</li>
<li>Conduct outgoing sales and follow-up calls to customers</li>
<li>Learn product lines, stocking inventory, vendor parts, and new product offerings</li>
<li>Work closely with the Parts Store Manager and team to support daily operations</li>
<li>Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications</b></h2>
<ul><li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities at the same time</li>

<li>Ability to quickly learn product lines, vendors, and part substitutions</li>
<li>HVAC parts, distribution, warehouse, or contractor supply experience preferred</li>
<li>Willingness to work overtime when needed</li>
<li>Ability to lift at least 50 pounds</li>

Requires a general knowledge of HVAC systems and DDC controls. Associate&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent from a Technical / Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning is required.
