 Role Summary:
 
 
 
 
 The role involves engaging with patients and their families at the time of hospital discharge to understand their post-hospitalization care needs and guide them on suitable homecare solutions. The Assistant Head Nurse acts as a bridge between the hospital clinical team and Medanta Homecare, ensuring patients receive seamless, high-quality care at home. This is a patient-facing role combining clinical understanding with empathetic communication and sales orientation.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Role &amp; responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Meet patients (and families) at the point of discharge to assess their post-hospitalization care requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Explain available Homecare services &mdash; including nursing, physiotherapy, medical equipment, remote monitoring, and caregiver support &mdash; in a clear, empathetic manner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and caregivers to understand each patient&rsquo;s clinical condition and recovery plan.
 </li>
 <li>
 Recommend appropriate homecare packages tailored to patient needs and recovery timelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Present service benefits, pricing, and enrolment process to patients/families to facilitate timely sign-ups.
 </li>
 <li>
 Handle patient queries, objections, or concerns with professionalism and compassion.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with hospital clinical staff and Homecare operations teams for accurate data sharing and smooth service initiation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete all required documentation, including enrolment forms, consent papers, and billing details.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, patient confidentiality, and ethical practices.

 Preferred candidate profile

 Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM / Paramedical background preferred.

 Experience: 3&ndash;8 years in Nursing, Paramedics, or patient care roles; prior exposure to healthcare sales, discharge planning, or homecare services is an advantage.

 Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
