The company employs around 1,400 people across its 13 locations and sells its products in over 50 countries worldwide.We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team at our medical device manufacturing facility in Warsaw, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for cost accounting functions including cost analysis, standard costing, inventory valuation, variance reporting, and supporting budgeting processes. You will also work closely with the Director of Finance providing support to the operational teams. Your work will directly impact strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across manufacturing and supply chain departments.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Develop, maintain, and set standard costs for manufactured products</li><li>Monitor, analyze, and resolve manufacturing cost data in SAP to ensure accurate product costing and margins</li><li>Prepare detailed cost reports with analysis on deviations from standards and present findings with actionable insights to management</li><li>Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the manufacturing and operational teams</li><li>Evaluate current costing procedures and recommend improvements to strengthen controls and improve accuracy and efficiency</li><li>Manage manufacturing inventory report and assist with inventory accounting including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation</li><li>Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to identify cost, capacity, and process improvements to increase margins and support sales growth</li><li>Support audits and compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements</li><li>Provide assistance and backup support for monthly sales commissions and quarterly sales rebate processes</li></ul>SKILL AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li>5&ndash;7 years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device or life sciences industry</li><li>Strong knowledge of standard costing, cost accounting principles, and GAAP</li><li>Experience with SAP or other comparable ERP system (e.g. Oracle, NetSuite) is preferred</li><li>Experience in PowerBI is a plus</li><li>Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling and large data sets</li><li>CPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not required</li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Parental leave</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>relevant: 3 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
