The Opportunity
We&rsquo;re seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Tampa clinic on a full-time basis. In this role, you&rsquo;ll work collaboratively with our clinic physician, following Medi-Weightloss protocols to deliver exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Patient Care Excellence: Perform comprehensive physical exams, review medical and psychosocial histories, and order diagnostic tests such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and metabolic breathing analysis.</li><li>
Medication Management: Prescribe and dispense FDA-approved appetite suppressants in compliance with state and federal guidelines.</li><li>
Holistic Support: Provide weekly counseling on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes to support patients&rsquo; weight loss and maintenance goals.</li><li>
Progress Monitoring: Track and document patient progress using our EMR system, ensuring personalized care and follow-up.</li><li>
Team Collaboration: Train clinical and non-clinical staff, conduct patient consultations, and engage with referral physicians to promote clinic success.</li><li>
Patient Engagement: Conduct follow-up calls to support patients and address concerns, fostering long-term success and clinic profitability.</li></ul>
Additional Responsibilities<ul><li>
Provide coverage at our three nearby clinics as needed.</li><li>
Perform other clinical duties to support the clinic&rsquo;s mission and operations.</li></ul>

Medical Assistant Primary Responsibilities:
 
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role with primary responsibilities that include patient vitals, EKG, phlebotomy, and front office duties. We value team players with clinical skills and experience in insurance and VOB. Exercise knowledge a plus.<div>
Medical Assistant Administrative Duties:
 
<ul><li>Utilize a multi-line phone system to answer and appropriately route all incoming calls.
</li><li>Conduct follow-up calls to discuss patient progress and address concerns.
</li><li>Refer non-routine, sensitive, or complex requests to the appropriate staff member.
</li><li>Ensure exceptional patient service by maintaining a friendly environment, greeting patients, and upholding outstanding standards.
</li><li>Assist with monitoring daily inventory levels of clinical and office supplies.
</li><li>Perform daily scanning and uploading of documents in patient files.
</li><li>Train additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician.</li><li>Participate in clinic marketing efforts and provide ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success.</li></ul></div><div>
Medical Assistant Clinical Duties (varied based on credentials): 
<ul><li>Obtain patient vitals, EKG, and perform phlebotomy.
</li><li>Administer IM injections.
</li><li>Prepare laboratory order forms and obtain patient laboratory results.
</li><li>Assist physicians or mid-level practitioners with patient referrals to other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:
 
To excel in this role, you should have:
