Summary/Objective:Overall responsibility for the BIM model creation and information developed during construction.Qualifications2-year degree in CAD (Computer Aided Design). 2 or more years with Commercial Electrical projects, 1 or more years with BIM (Building Information Modeling), 1 or more years with 3d Modeling. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu.Essential Functions<ul><li>Understand written instructions from designers and engineers to generate Electrical BIM Models</li><li>Review early designs for constructability analysis</li><li>Capable of auditing and reviewing 3D Models from different trades using Navisworks Manage</li><li>Conducts clash detection and visual walkthroughs</li><li>Recognizes the necessity of adhering to deadlines</li><li>Holds weekly coordination meetings with project team members</li><li>Manage / Update BIM Project Documents &amp; Models</li><li>3D Model Quantity Extraction / Verification</li><li>Be responsible for BIM file exchange and archiving of milestone submittals</li><li>Coordinates with the team to assure the creation of proper plan views, room layouts and BIM final deliverables directly from the coordinated model.</li><li>Uses special notations and symbols to give instructions on drawings and blueprints.</li></ul>Revises drawings based on instructions from engineers or architects.Visits building sites to collect data for drawings.Consults with clients to understand their instructions and to answer their questions.Monitors compliance with building codes throughout the construction process.Reviews engineering data to ensure compliance with the original design plans.Modifies existing drawingsStores drawings electronically and generate prints for later usePerform other duties not specifically stated herein, which may be assigned periodically by your supervisor.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervision responsibilities.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.
