<div>We are seeking a Quality Specialist to join our Quality and Professional Development team. The Quality Specialist is responsible for developing and maintain systems that support continuous quality improvement across the organization. This role will focus on designing and implementing auditing programs, reviewing audit systems, conducting feedback reviews, and assisting in implementing corrective actions. The Quality Specialist will work directly with residential programs to perform chart reviews and compliance audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This is a hybrid of an administrative and hands on position focused on quality assurance and compliance oversight.
Payrate: $20.00 per hourSchedule: full-time, 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm
Essential Job Responsibilities<ul><li>
Assist in developing and implementing quality measurement systems and plans aligned with MHA&rsquo;s strategic goals, including participation in the annual quality plan preparation.</li><li>
Promote data use across the organization by establishing benchmark quality statistics and collaborating with external organizations for benchmarking. Monitor and interpret trends while staying updated on quality standards and regulations.</li><li>
Support quality management efforts and reduce compliance risks by ensuring adherence to quality policies and procedures.</li><li>
Integrate quality improvement initiatives into core functions, working with leadership to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>
Oversee the collection of quality metrics, ensuring data accuracy and compliance for reporting purposes. Develop audits to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.</li><li>
Advocate for policies that support the organization&rsquo;s mission and establish processes for their ongoing review and revision.</li><li>
Analyze data trends and collaborate with programs to implement effective improvement processes. Provide feedback and track results, monitoring corrective actions.</li><li>
Participate in committees focused on quality management and performance improvement, facilitating compliance reviews.</li><li>
Prepare documentation for state audits and collaborate with administrative departments during audit processes.</li><li>
Support the overall compliance activities of the agency across the areas.</li></ul>

Requirements 
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field (e.g. Healthcare Admin, Human Services, Quality Assurance, Compliance, or related discipline).</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively while collaborating with teams.</li><li>
Familiarity with Continuous Quality Improvement principles, quality benchmarking, and process management tools.</li><li>
Experience in developing training programs that align with MHA's mission and CQI initiatives.</li><li>
Knowledge of statistics, data collection, and outcome measurement.</li><li>
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and database applications.</li><li>
Capable of implementing organizational programs and coordinating staff efforts to meet objectives.</li><li>
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in mental health, substance abuse, and healthcare.</li><li>
Skilled in organizing and analyzing quality data, identifying errors, and implementing corrections.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.</li><li>

Quality Specialist

<div>Position Summary
As a Residential Support Specialist, you will provide a supportive and safe environment in community residential settings within MHA&rsquo;s ICL (Integrated Community Living) department. This role involves traveling to different program locations based on staffing needs, offering flexibility and consistent support across the department. You will help foster growth, independence, and community engagement for individuals who have experienced a brain injury resulting in physical limitations, mental health, and/or cognitive challenges.
Pay Rate: $20 an hour
Open Shift: Saturday 9am-3pm &amp; Sunday 9am-5pm (14hrs)
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Provide respectful, person-centered support to participants in daily living activities, personal care, and skill development.</li><li>
Promote community integration by facilitating access to transportation, social activities, and external resources.</li><li>
Support participants' health needs, including medication administration (per MAP standards), appointment scheduling, and monitoring overall wellbeing.</li><li>
Assist with financial skills and money management, maintaining accurate documentation of all expenditures.</li><li>
Respond to emergencies and crisis situations appropriately, following agency protocols and communicating with supervisors.</li><li>
Advocate for participants and help them build self-advocacy skills; serve as a liaison with families, providers, and community supports.</li><li>
Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs), documenting progress and participation.</li><li>
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and health records.</li><li>
Promote a safe environment by following all safety procedures, assisting with emergency drills, and identifying potential hazards.</li><li>
Collaborate effectively with team members, attend training, maintain certifications (MAP, CPR, First Aid), and actively participate in meetings and supervision.</li></ul>

The Integration &amp; Community Living (ICL) program supports individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries in living independently and meaningfully in the community. In partnership with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), ICL provides person-centered residential and outreach services across Western Massachusetts. With over 60 years of experience, MHA helps individuals transition from institutional settings into homes where they can grow, make choices, and fully participate in community life. Services range from supported and shared living to emergency respite and privately funded care, all designed to promote independence, dignity, and connection.
