MEP Solutions is seeking a full-time on-site Project Engineer (Mechanical)- Deluge Fire System expert to join our team in Karachi at K-Electric project.Job description:We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the design, execution, and commissioning of Deluge fire suppression systems. You will work closely with the project team, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope/budget, and in compliance with safety &amp; regulatory standards.<ul><li>Submitting daily manpower report and progress report to the Project Manager is also their responsibility.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of engineering deliverables (Shop drawings, calculations, specifications, BOQs).</li><li>Coordinate with Procurement Team for equipment procurement, and delivery schedules.</li><li>Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of deluge fire suppression systems.</li><li>Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design documents and safety standards.</li><li>Prepare and Review shop drawings, method statements, and inspection reports.</li><li>Track project progress, maintain risk &amp; issue logs, and report status to management.</li><li>Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve technical queries and implement design changes.</li><li>Ensure all documentation meets client and statutory requirements (NFPA, local fire codes, etc.)</li><li>Quantities for all disciplines such as HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, etc., will be calculated as per their responsibility. The role involves creating robust, reliable, and manufacturable mechanical designs, performing structural and environmental tests, and collaborating with the development team to mature the product from concept to final production stage.1. Structural Design &amp; Development<ul><li>Design and improve the mechanical structure of energy meters to meet WAPDA and international standards</li><li>Develop 3D models, engineering drawings, and detailed design specifications using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).</li><li>Select appropriate materials and components to ensure durability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.</li><li>Work with tooling, molding, and vendor teams to ensure manufacturable designs.</li></ul>2. Collaboration &amp; Product Maturation<ul><li>Work closely with electrical, firmware, QA, and production teams to support full product development.</li><li>Participate in design review meetings and provide mechanical engineering insights.</li><li>Resolve structural or mechanical issues identified during testing, prototyping, or production.</li><li>Support prototyping, sample preparation, and pilot production runs.</li></ul>5.
