Job SummaryThe Freight Forwarding Sales Agent is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business accounts for the company's global logistics services. This role requires a hunter's mentality, deep knowledge of international trade and supply chain dynamics, and the ability to build long-lasting, profitable client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesI. Business Development &amp; Sales (The Core Focus)<ul><li>Prospecting &amp; Acquisition: Actively identify and target new client prospects through cold calling, networking, industry events, and leveraging the company&rsquo;s CRM system.</li><li>Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and secure FCL, LCL, Air, Road, and Customs Brokerage accounts.</li><li>Quote and Proposal Management: Prepare, present, and negotiate competitive pricing proposals and service contracts in collaboration with the Operations and Pricing teams.</li><li>Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and Gross Profit (GP) goals.</li></ul>II. Client Relationship Management<ul><li>Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, professional, and lasting relationships with key decision-makers (Logistics Managers, Procurement Heads, Supply Chain Directors).</li><li>Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough analyses of customer freight needs, pain points, and supply chain challenges to propose customized, value-added logistics solutions.</li><li>Service Excellence: Act as the main point of contact for new accounts during the initial phase, ensuring a seamless transition to the Operations team and maintaining high customer satisfaction.</li></ul>III. Operational &amp; Industry Knowledge<ul><li>Market Intelligence: Stay current on global trade lanes, industry trends, market rates, international regulations (Incoterms, Customs), and competitor activity.</li><li>Internal Coordination: Collaborate daily with the Operations, Pricing, and Documentation teams to ensure successful service delivery and efficient problem-solving for clients.</li><li>Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer information, and pipeline status within the CRM system .</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; QualificationsA. Professional Experience<ul><li>1 years of proven sales experience in the Freight Forwarding, 3PL, or Logistics industry is essential.</li><li>Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding challenging sales quotas.</li><li>Existing book of business or established network of contacts in [Specific Trade Lane/Commodity, e.g., Trans-Pacific, Automotive, Retail] is highly desirable.</li></ul>B. Core Competencies<ul><li>Negotiation &amp; Closing Skills: Exceptional ability to negotiate commercial terms and close high-value deals.</li><li>Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of multimodal transportation (Ocean, Air, Trucking) and customs procedures.</li><li>Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li>Work Ethic: Highly self-motivated, tenacious, organized, and capable of managing a large, complex sales pipeline independently.</li></ul>C. Education<ul><li>A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
