</p>Key Responsibilities
<div><div><ul><li>Assess all students, faculty, and staff.</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality in all health-related matters.</li>
<li>Treat illnesses and injuries that occur at school.</li>
<li>Administer required medications daily and in emergencies.</li>
<li>Document care provided according to school policy, procedures, and protocol.</li>
<li>Supervise and train the clinic team.</li>
<li>Maintain current certifications in CPR/AED, vision/hearing screening, spinal screening, and acanthosis nigricans (AN) screening.</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of community resources and make appropriate referrals.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.</li>
<li>Provide emergency first-aid as needed.</li>
<li>Organize and prioritize work responsibilities and make independent decisions based on complex information.</li>
<li>Collaborate with 504 &amp; Special Education teams to support medically fragile students; develop and implement individualized health care plans as needed.</li>
<li>Provide individual health counseling, teaching, and treatment to students, families, and staff.</li>
<li>Perform screening procedures required by state and local mandates; make referrals and follow-up as necessary.</li>
<li>Maintain complete and accurate immunization records to comply with state mandates.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate clinical records and health documentation of services rendered.</li>
</ul></div>Work Environment
<p>This position operates in a professional, non-smoking office environment. The role can be busy and include moderate noise and unscheduled interruptions. Routine use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, filing cabinets) is expected.</p>
Experience &amp; Qualifications
<ul><li><b>Qualifications:</b> Registered Professional Nurse license in the State of Texas preferred (LVN considered).</li>
<li><b>Certifications:</b> Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.</li>
<li><b>Experience:</b> School nursing 1 year preferred.</li>
