 Job Description
 
 
 
 This unique position is perfect for the self starter, energetic individual who takes direction well. We are currently looking to fill the Fleet Manager position. Our fleet includes medium, &amp; heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and small engines.
 
 
 
 Management Duties
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Promote a safe working culture for all employees; working with shop personnel to minimize risk and increase safety for employees, at all times.
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for DOT inspections on truck and trailers, assigning work for mechanics, and assisting in repair on all equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee specialty equipment, ordering parts, organize shop, and assist in repairing all equipment and on the road repairs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with the President and other management to establish new policies and procedures to allow for system updates and efficient operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee shop operations through the administrative direction of the President to ensure adherence to the company&rsquo;s vehicle fleet/equipment maintenance program.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and file necessary tax filings, registrations, and title filings as needed to meet required deadlines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain and update the Company Equipment listing to ensure accurate insurance coverage.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor all shop expenditures, working closely with accounting to eliminate invoice errors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Recommend shop equipment purchases and maintenance needs to the company president. Implement and follow-up on all approved purchases over $1,000.00.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in the recruiting process by managing internal and external job postings for various positions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs other duties as assigned.

 </ul>
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Previous experience as a mechanic- 5 years minimum. Certifications (ASE or manufacturer) are preferred but not required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Welding Skills required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of shop equipment and environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work nights and weekends.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 A valid Wisconsin License (CDL preferred).
 </li>
 <li>
 Full set of tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent work ethic, attendance, and ability to work with others on projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Resourceful.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnosis skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Some experience in electrical, drivability, and basic knowledge of scan tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Detail oriented.

 $13.84 weekly cell phone allowance for 52 weeks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Eligible for year-end bonus based on company profitability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Paid vacation of ten (10) days. Employee is eligible for five days&rsquo; vacation during the production season, with the balance of vacation time taken during off season. All vacation time must be requested and approved by the president at a minimum 2 weeks in advance. Vacation time may not be carried over to the next calendar year.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participation in company 401k program.
 </li>
 <li>
 Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage eligibility. Premium shared with employer.
 </li>
 <li>
 Company provided Life insurance policy valued at $15,000.
 </li>
 <li>
 Company provided Long Term Disability policy which includes a $50,000 Life Insurance policy.
