<div><p><b>Metals USA </b>has an immediate opening for a <b>Quality Coordinator </b>in the Waggaman, LA facility. The <b>Quality Coordinator </b>is responsible for monitoring the working conditions of the entire facility to ensure that all activity is compliant with Company quality policies and procedures. The <b>Quality Coordinator </b>enforces company quality guidelines, inspects products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.<br>
</p><p></p><p><b>Duties and Responsibilities
</b></p><ul><li>Provides quality control support and record keeping as part of the company&rsquo;s quality control process.
</li><li>Assists with the implementation of quality improvement strategies and company initiatives.
</li><li>I nspects various products for defects in material and nonconformance during processing.
</li><li>Inspects materials after processing following procedures to ensure it is properly prepped.
</li><li>Maintains accurate and current documentation of testing procedures and results using appropriate tracking mechanism(s).
</li><li>A ssists with maintaining compliance with company policies and quality procedures.
</li><li>Prepares required results and/or information and assists with inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
</li><li>Retrieves files and product quality information as needed for reviews and Quality staff.
</li><li>Assists with preparation of documents/records for review, duplication, and distribution as appropriate.
</li><li>Files documents and maintaining their confidentiality and security.
</li>Ensures compliance with applicable with quality standards.<br>

</li><li>Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective processing and distribution of material.
</li><li>Basic knowledge of quality control practices and key industry trends.
</li><li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills
</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
</li><li>Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including analysis, knowledge and experience, and judgment.
</li><li>Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers as well as internal/external customers.
</li><li>Strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft applications and/or reporting software.</li></ul></div></div>
