Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a &euro;31 Billion international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD).
HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, caf&eacute;s and canteen operators. The Traders section includes small grocery stores and kiosks. The majority of all customer groups are small and medium-sized enterprises as well as sole traders. We provide HR, Finance, IT &amp; Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. Job Description 
How you will make an impact?
The Lead Enterprise Data Architect co-owns the data architecture principles of METRO and aligns them to the enterprise data strategy. They drive the principles towards business stakeholders to ensure effective establishing of data domains and are on the fore-front of communicating the value of data to the organization to ensure commitment and buy-in to principles and standards.
The role works closely with Enterprise Architecture and Process Excellence along existing landscape and in assessing new initiatives for their fit to data architecture principles.
Understanding of data protection concepts enables a collaborative way of working with CISO and Legal. 
 
Your Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Define and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models;</li><li>
Create data architecture frameworks for new platforms and initiatives;</li><li>
Own end-to-end data flow on conceptual and logical level;</li><li>
Co-own the data domain model and actively drive its implementation;</li><li>
Establish standards for data quality, security, and lifecycle management;</li><li>
Work with governance teams to define metadata, lineage, and access policies;</li><li>
Conduct architecture reviews to ensure consistency and reuse across domains;</li><li>
Consult and oversee solution and data architects in relation to adherence to enterprise principles.</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
Required key competencies and qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelors in the domain of computer science.</li><li>
Overall 15+ yrs experience and should have minimum 10+ years of experience in the data field (engineering and data architecting);</li><li>
Expertise in data modeling, storage, and processing patterns (SQL/NoSQL, lakehouse, warehouse);</li><li>
Understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR);
</li><li>Hands-on experience with cloud-native data architectures (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Synapse);
</li><li>Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, data mesh principles, and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka);</li><li>
Knowledge of metadata management and cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation);</li><li>
Experience in senior business stakeholder management;</li><li>
Degree in data management, information systems, or computer science;
</li><li>Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).</li></ul>

Job Description 
How you will make an impact?
The Data Quality &amp; Governance Manager (DQGM) takes a key role in establishing data quality principles on enterprise level. They collaborate with data domain owners to ensure classification and true end-to-end ownership of data. The DQGM continuously strive for data hygiene and lifecycle culture.
The DQGM owns the data policy SOPs and ensures their distribution and acceptance among stakeholders. 
Your Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Define enterprise data quality principles and standards;</li><li>
Safeguard data classification by data domain owners;</li><li>
Facilitate data lifecycle ownership and follow up on execution;</li><li>
Develop SOPs, align with stakeholders and socialize them;
</li><li>Coordinate with Platforms on adherence to standards;
</li>Provide guidance to data architects and analysts on quality and governance principles.

Qualifications

The Data Governance Effectiveness Analyst (DGEA) operationalizes the data governance policies and standards. They are responsible for validating that governance is implemented and translates into measurable impact. They create the fact-based foundation for prioritization both within the data strategy &amp; governance team as well as with key stakeholders.
The DGEA acts as a consultant to data quality managers to create a enterprise-wide consistent data quality approach. 
Your Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Analyze operational data (master data, conditional data, transactional data) to evaluate implementation of standards and policies;</li><li>
Identify blind spots in data governance through analytics;</li><li>
Provide guidance to platforms for data quality priorities;</li><li>
Own meta-reporting on data quality.</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
Required key competencies and qualifications:<ul><li>
5+ years professional experience in data analytics or data quality management;</li><li>
Familiarity with data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, Talend, etc);</li><li>
Knowledge of data cataloguing tools;</li><li>

Strong analytical skills;</li><li>
Degree in data management, information governance, data science or business administration;</li><li>
