POSITION PURPOSE
 The Material Handler works as a member of a team to move finished product from production to various on-site locations.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 <ul>
<li>Prepare product, trailer, and ground to safely unload product</li>
<li>Effectively communicate with truck drivers, overhead crane and travel crane operations</li>
<li>Loading of trailers</li>
<li>Unloading trailers</li>
<li>Proper dunnage placement</li>
<li>Load leveling</li>
<li>Properly sequence loads onto trailer</li>
<li>Identify and report damaged or defective product</li>
<li>Off load list, locate pieces of concrete product identified as being shipped that day</li>
<li>Work with mi-jack crane operator in safely proceeding to product’s location</li>
<li>Rig product to be lifted as needed</li>
<li>Set timbers on trailer in preparation for product loading</li>
<li>Unhook rigging on product once laid on trailer correctly</li>
<li>Work as a part of a team assisting others as needed</li>
<li>Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety regulations and policies</li>
<li>Ability to operate tablet to identify items to be loaded or offloaded</li>
<li>Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner</li>

POSITION PURPOSE
 This position provides resources for the fabrication and production of metal assemblies, steel plates, and rebar for use in Metromont’s production process.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 <ul>
<li>May operate Ironworker, Automatic and Manual Bandsaw, Robotic Arc Welder (WIN only), Stud Welding Machine and Gun, Overhead Crane, Shear Line Machine, Automatic and Manual Bender, Rebar Threader, paint finish on completed assemblies or drive embeds to galvanizers.</li>
<li>Stock rebar, steel, and stud racks by using overhead crane or forklift as necessary.</li>
<li>Shear flat bar, angles, structural tubes, rounds and channels per specifications for production.</li>
<li>Locate correct sized studs, measure and mark steel for stud shooting with gun, mark steel with plate and job number.</li>
<li>Cut and weld rebar per specifications on daily cut list using automatic bender and shear. (as applicable)</li>
<li>Secure materials for robotic jigs, begin welding program, inspect welds, remove and mark plates.</li>
<li>Place rebar in designated racks for delivery manually per “take off list” and coordinate product delivery with forklift drivers.</li>
<li>Apply correct welding practices and identify basic welding symbols. (as applicable)</li>
<li>Ensure safe storage and proper handling of welding gasses.</li>
<li>Perform daily pre-operation checklists as required, record steel and stud heat certification numbers on drawings, and complete daily Stud Welding Quality Control Inspection sheets.</li>
<li>Inform Steel Fab Manager and/or Maintenance of issues needing attention.</li>
<li>Use radio to check in with all departments and address needs as requested.</li>
<li>Read rebar tickets and calculate product needs per bed using basic math skills.</li>
<li>Assist welder as needed.</li>
<li>Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.</li>
<li>Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.</li>

 The Bed Utility associate works as a member of the setup and pour team assisting with the preparation and placement of materials in forms as directed.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
