Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Outside Plant, the Project Director is the leader of their assigned project(s). The Project Director has the ultimate responsibility for the project budget, meeting project timelines, customer expectations, managing the project team, and interfacing with the customer.

What you will be doing:
<ul>
<li>Review and fully understand the budgets, schedule and requirements of each project.</li>
<li>Create and execute project work plans, schedules, and control budgets as well as identify and acquire resources needed for prosecution of the project(s).</li>
<li>Assign individual duties to the project management team and staff.</li>
<li>Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project to ensure on time and under budget project completion.</li>
<li>Meet with internal and external customers with prepared reports to give progress updates, answer questions, and manage requested changes to project plans.</li>
<li>Manage the decisions on the scope and delivery of the project including serving as a technical expert in interpreting the specification of the project.</li>
<li>Communicate requirements and specifications to the project staff and assist with any questions related to the technology, equipment, and design requirements.</li>
<li>Serve as the project spokesperson when necessary by developing relationships and facilitating communication, updates, and meetings with internal and external customers.</li>
<li>Ensure market agreements, permit and authorization compliance, as applicable.</li>
<li>Review and approve job cost accounting reports submitted to home office.</li>
<li>Maintain day-to-day communication with the SVP of Outside Plant and other management.</li>
<li>Produce quality results in an efficient and cost effective manner.</li>
<li>Represent Metronet professionally to satisfy immediate customer needs and to foster good customer relations.</li>
<li>Respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.</li>
<li>Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance according to company policies.</li>
<li>Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role and those of the project team.</li>
<li>Adhere to company policies, regulations, procedures, and principles.</li>
<li>Assist in other duties as needed and directed.</li>
</ul>
Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 based on experience

What You Need For This Position:
<ul>
<li>BS/BA degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or civil engineering preferred</li>
<li>Equivalent experience will be considered</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of Telecom construction and engineering, project budget creation and management, project scheduling and tracking, project finance, cost reporting, and field office operations</li>
<li>Strong computer skills, with emphasis using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Project</li>
<li>Familiarity with a variety of mapping, GIS and CADD drafting programs</li>
<li>Ability to Work with Google Earth KMZ&rsquo;s and KML&rsquo;s</li>
<li>Ability and comfort putting together project estimates, budgets and schedules</li>
<li>Ability to comprehend complex instructions put together and execute strategic strategies communicating and promoting company objectives with other organizations.</li>

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Project Director, the Controls Manager is responsible for drafting, managing, and maintaining project related contracts, creating and maintaining the project schedule, material/equipment/service bidding and procurement, monitoring the financial health of the project and developing reporting structures and reports to the Vice President of Construction, Sr. Company Management and the Customer.

What you will be doing:
<ul>
<li>Prepare, distribute, and evaluate project related RFP&rsquo;s/RFQ&rsquo;s.</li>
<li>Develop and draft scopes of work in conjunction with other departments.</li>
<li>Administration of subcontracts and subcontractor agreements, which includes, but is not limited to, subcontractor bid review and selection, monitoring and providing direction in accordance with the project schedule.</li>
<li>Maintain project inventory and warehouse facility.</li>
<li>Manage the local and state permitting processes.</li>
<li>Contract compliance management/assurance.</li>
<li>Maintain and manage Contractor and Professional Engineering Agreement files.</li>
<li>Monitor and maintain daily production reports and update the project schedules and reports accordingly.</li>
<li>Monitor the progression of the projects as it relates to the project schedule.</li>
<li>Utilize job cost accounting techniques; create project budgets, monitor actual results, and report project results.</li>
<li>Complete and submit required reports, which include, but are not limited to, financial forecasts, project schedule updates, and project progress reports.</li>
<li>Secure and protect company resources.</li>
<li>Assume leadership role within the Project team.</li>
<li>Maintain day-to-day communication with the Vice President of Construction.</li>
<li>Produce quality results in an efficient and cost effective manner.</li>
<li>Represent Metronet professionally and ethically while performing daily tasks.</li>
<li>Respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.</li>
<li>Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance according to Metronet policies.</li>

What You Need For This Position:
<ul>
<li>A BS/BA degree in construction management, civil or electrical engineering is preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Strong financial reporting skills.</li>
<li>Excellent EXCEL skills</li>
<li>Extensive experience project-related material and services procurement.</li>
<li>Four or more years of telecommunications construction experience or an acceptable equivalent required.</li>
<li>Familiarity with project management tools and applications, telecommunications engineering, and construction methodologies.</li>

Job Summary:

Accurate and safe construction of Metronet&rsquo;s network to our standards is vital to our success. Metronet&rsquo;s OSP Field Supervisor is on the frontline. They are the boots-on-the-ground for Metronet. The OSP Field Supervisor ensures construction is built safely and to the required standards and specifications.

One of Metronet&rsquo;s values is delighting the community in which we work. We realize our future customers come from those neighborhoods where we are doing construction. It is therefore important for the OSP Field Supervisor to respond quickly to neighborhood complaints and actively work to resolve the issues.

An OSP Field Supervisor will find themselves in many various roles throughout a typical day. They need to have skills, experience and behavioral traits that are necessary for their role as an inspector, an investigator, a leader and manager of aerial and or underground construction crews, an ambassador on behalf of Metronet to resolve complaints within the community, and other various roles.

What you will be doing:
<ul>
<li> Maintain understanding of our specifications, standard practices, and safety
 </li><li>Conduct walkouts and inspects aerial fiber cable placement on poles and splice points as well as the underground placement of conduit and handholes for quality and correct installation as per Metronet&rsquo;s technical specifications and/or construction specifications.</li>
<li> Approve all unitized completed aerial work done to Metronet&rsquo;s standards</li>
<li> Manage the OSP Construction Tracker</li>
<li> Monitor the approved budget for each of their assigned work orders</li>
<li> Respond to utility strikes, conducts investigation, completes documentation of said strike within 24 hours. Conducts retraining of the contractor or terminates them if necessary</li>
<li> Conduct a weekly audit for each contractor of their safety, construction, and quality practices</li>
<li> Identify contractor training needs and arranges for the contractor to get the training</li>
<li> Ensure aerial line contractors have a weekly safety and communications tailgate meeting with their employees and will assist the contractor in scheduling periodic damage prevention tailgates safety meetings in the language which the employees are most fluent</li>
</ul>
Salary: $40,000 - $75,000 based on experience

What You Need For This Position:
<ul>
<li>A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>Must be detailed oriented and excellent organizational skills</li>
<li>Related quality control and/or outside aerial plant construction experience</li>
<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment</li>
<li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.</li>
<li>Works well under pressure</li>
<li> Ability walking long distances, and potentially uneven and/or less than ideal ground conditions each day with contractors</li>
<li> Capable working in all temperatures, climate and weather conditions maintaining safe work zone practices</li>
<li> Must have excellent communications and diplomacy skills</li>
<li> Committed to and driven by quality and safety</li>
<li> Ability to distinguish between general audience information and confidential information and to maintain confidentiality at all times.</li>
<li> Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time and recognize which tasks are more urgent or require more attention</li>
<li> Must have and maintain a valid driver license and a clean driving record (no DUIs or serious traffic violations).</li>
