 Position Overview:
 
 
 Selected candidates will work within a collaborative team environment, placing the patient at the center of our care model while serving as a physician&rsquo;s back-up in delivering top-tier medical care. You must be skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating complex illnesses, and passionate about providing holistic care to patients of all ages.
 
 
 Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform new patient screenings, yearly physical examinations, and review patient medical histories
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain and update patient electronic medical records, ensuring accuracy at each appointment
 </li>
 <li>
 Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to address patient clinical problems and healthcare needs
 </li>
 <li>
 Review lab, x-ray, and ED or Admission reports, initiating appropriate patient follow-up
 </li>
 <li>
 Prescribe medications and other treatments, including physical, respiratory, and occupational therapy, to enhance patient outcomes
 </li>
 <li>
 Treat acute illnesses such as cold, flu, and infections
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage chronic diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, with coordinated specialty care when needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide well-child care, including immunizations, sports physicals, and screenings
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct gynecological exams and pap smears
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with the leadership team to implement initiatives that improve patient care and practice performance
 </li>
 <li>
 Educate patients on health risks, preventive care, diet, exercise, and overall wellness
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and manage patient cases effectively
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay current with medical advancements and best practices to ensure high-quality patient care
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform all other related duties as assigned
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Education and Qualifications:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
 </li>
 <li>
 Current NP or PA license and certification from the appropriate licensing board
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid Massachusetts NP or PA License
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid Federal DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (MCSR) Licenses
 </li>
 <li>
 Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education (CME)
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong problem-solving skills and sound clinical judgment
 </li>
 <li>
 Adherence to ethical and legal standards in patient care and medical practice
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in and commitment to working with diverse populations
 </li>
 <li>
 Self-starter with the ability to work independently
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding and experience in Ambulatory Medical Care Management
 </li>
 <li>
 Competency in basic medical and surgical procedures
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Compensation: 110K - 140K
