OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about metalwork, fabrication, and craftsmanship to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of metal components.</li><li>Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes.</li><li>Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, power tools, and measuring tapes to verify dimensions and ensure precise fabrication.</li><li>Operate fabrication equipment including press brake machines, plasma cutters, pipe threading tools, and sheet metal shears to shape and assemble materials.</li><li>Cut, weld, assemble, and install ductwork, piping systems, sheet metal structures, and other fabricated components on construction sites or in shop environments.</li><li>Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols while handling heavy machinery, rigging equipment, forklifts, and power tools to prevent accidents.</li><li>Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, ensuring all work meets quality standards and project specifications within designated timelines.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication processes.</li><li>Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and plasma cutting.</li><li>Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately.</li><li>Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, and tape measures for precise measurements.</li><li>Knowledge of ASME codes &amp; standards related to welding and fabrication practices.</li><li>Experience operating shop equipment like press brakes, plasma cutters, pipe threading machines, and power tools safely.</li><li>Mechanical knowledge of metal materials including sheet metal fabrication and ductwork assembly.</li><li>Construction experience preferred; familiarity with rigging procedures and pipe threading is a plus.</li><li>Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding operations and heavy machinery use.</li><li>Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for fabrication shop math and measurements.</li></ul>Join our team if you&rsquo;re eager to develop your skills in a vibrant environment where craftsmanship meets innovation!
