Miami Youth Academy is a moderate risk residential commitment program for male youth aged 14 to 18. This program provides youth comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based substance abuse services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program. A youth&rsquo;s length of stay is determined by the youth's assessed risk to reoffend, their progress in reducing applicable criminogenic needs and risk factors, and the completion of their individualized treatment plan.

 Pay: $19.00 an hour

 What you will do: The Transportation Officer works as a member of the Student Services Team. Primarily responsible for transporting students to and from the site for off-site appointments. Depending on location, the Transportation Officer reports to the Transportation Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator or Executive Administrative Assistant.

 To be considered you should: High School diploma or equivalent~ 1 year working with youth in a child welfare or agency setting ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Valid Driver's License and clean record ~Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

 Schedule: Monday through Friday *Schedule subject to change based on the need of the program*

 What you will do/Day in the Life:

The primary responsibilities of a Maintenance Worker include but are not limited to: general building maintenance, minor electrical repairs, repairing drywall, painting, paneling, wallpapering, sheetrock work, hanging doors, adjusting/changing locks and door hardware, fixing or replacing broken windows and screens, hanging pictures, minor plumbing repairs, unplugging drains, replacing leaky washers, re-lighting, replacing and adjusting heaters and controls, maintaining smoke detectors and emergency lights, maintaining swamp coolers/air conditioners and generators, replacing floor tiles, carpeting, wood flooring and/or linoleum repairs, repairing roofing, some grounds maintenance &amp; irrigation repairs if needed, etc.

To be considered you should have Experience as a Maintenance Worker, be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must also be at least 21 years of age, have a desire to work with troubled teens and be able to pass a DCF criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
