Who You Are:</b></p><p>
The Finance Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Store Development by ensuring disciplined financial execution, sound controls, and accurate reporting across capital and expense projects. This role requires a high degree of ownership, attention to detail, and cross-functional partnership to support business objectives while maintaining financial integrity and compliance.</p><p></p><p><b>
What You&rsquo;ll Do:
</b></p><p><b>Financial Ownership &amp; Accountability</b></p><ul><li>
Take ownership of project-level accounting activities, including validating invoice accuracy (billing details, contract compliance, and approved funding).</li><li>
Accurately code invoices to CapEx or expense categories and ensure timely routing for approval in accordance with Capri policies.</li><li>
Submit approved invoices to Domestic and International partners, ensuring prompt and accurate payment execution.</li><li>
Maintain accurate and current project budgets by updating templates with general ledger data and approved changes.</li></ul><p><b>
Operational Excellence &amp; Controls</b></p><ul><li>
Partner closely with Corporate Finance to ensure Capital Request Forms (CRFs) are prepared, submitted, and approved in compliance with capitalization and governance requirements.</li><li>
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities by working collaboratively with Accounts Payable and Accounting.</li><li>
Review and reconcile Construction-in-Progress (CIP) accounts in partnership with the Michael Kors Fixed Assets Accountant, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.</li></ul><p><b>
Collaboration &amp; Relationship Management</b></p><ul><li>
Build effective working relationships with Store Design, Construction, Visual Merchandising, Facilities, and external vendors, demonstrating strong collaboration and business partnership.</li><li>
Monitor open invoice statements, investigate variances, and resolve issues to support timely payments and positive vendor relationships.</li><li>
Coordinate the collection of complete Tenant Allowance documentation from general contractors, vendors, and consultants and submit accurate packages to Retail Finance.</li></ul><p><b>
Continuous Improvement &amp; Data Management</b></p><ul><li>
Manage and maintain the master project budget template, enhancing formulas, structure, and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>
Maintain organized, audit-ready financial files in line with internal controls and retention standards.</li><li>
Demonstrate a mindset of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting quality.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
You&rsquo;ll Need to Have: (List tangible </b><b>qualifications/requirements)</b></p><ul><li>
1&ndash;2 years of relevant experience in a finance, accounting, or project support role.</li><li>
Strong Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, lookups (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), and advanced formulas to drive efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>
Experience with Coupa and/or Procore is a plus.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
